About this listen

What happens when the very gods depend on mortals for help? That's what three very different young women find out when they are invited to Warrior's Peak.

The Malory Price Life Plan does not include a quixotic quest - but the strangers on Warrior's Peak claim that she must find a key that will release three souls held captive by an evil god.

Little does she know that the quest will bring her two new friends: the love of her life - and danger beyond anyone's imagination.

Good story. Great characters. Medium talent narrator. Not really distinctive in separating character voices, except for the Irish accent which was good. On to the next in the trilogy.

Entertaining.

I loved the twists and turns that the characters experienced as they grew to love one another in finding the key. I have read and re-read this series several times and I still enjoy it each and every time. Susan Ericksen is an excellent narrator and I do enjoy listening to her. She brings you into the story and it’s as if you’re there. Exciting and thrilling to the very end.

What did you love best about Key of Light?

The beginning and the three women meeting each other at Warrior's peak.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Relief. The story moved so slowly, I was excited that something was actually happening to further resolve the mystery.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

Dana. I liked Malory but really didn't connect with her. Dana, on the other hand, was my favorite of the trio.

Any additional comments?

The premise is intriguing, but the plot was incredibly slow moving. It just creeps along, hardly moving. There really wasn't a build to the climax of the story at all. I was simultaneously loving the book and being frustrated with it. Not Nora Robert's best work, but it really set up the trilogy.

I'm really liking the second book, Key of Knowledge much better. However, without the setup of this book, I honestly don't think I would like it as much.

I would suggest this trilogy to any Nora Robert's fan, and any supernatural romance fans.

Slow Moving.
