About this listen
Discover the revolutionary way to harness the brain's capacity to heal itself.
Supported by the latest brain research, the Anat Baniel Method uses simple, gentle movements and focus to help any child who has been diagnosed with autism, Asperger's syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, or other developmental disorders.
In this supportive and hands-on book, Anat Baniel guides parents through the nine essentials of the method, each one designed to harness the brain's capacity to heal itself - with remarkable and sometimes immediate results.
By shifting the focus to connecting rather than "fixing", this powerful yet simple method helps both children and parents to de-stress, focus, and grow. Most of all, it helps all children maximize their potential, no matter what their diagnosis.

Story
There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

Just because you put your name on sliced bread, doesn’t make you the inventor
So yes, she has some good pointers, but no, I don’t think they are original to her, nor should she charge what she does for a session with her. As a special needs parent, I know the yearning to help my child “catch up” and would love a quick fix, but I guess the saying, “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is” exists for a reason. There is also a reason certain therapies get approved to be covered by insurance. They only like to pay for what can be proven to show results, even if it does take time.
