Publisher's summary

Scotsman-turned-cowboy Duff MacCallister traveled far and worked hard to start a new life in America. And anyone who tries to mess with his dream is in for some serious Highland justice...

The cattle town of Chugwater may not look like much to outsiders. But for Duff MacCallister and the determined settlers who've staked their futures here, it's a land of opportunity. That's why the whole town is fired up by the latest news. Young railroad developer Jacob Freemantle wants to run a rail line through Chugwater, making it easier to transport cattle. Everyone is on board with the plan - at first. Duff begins to suspect that Freemantle is only after the most valuable land, and he's using strongarm tactics to force reluctant ranchers to sell. Things only get worse when Freemantle's hired guns show up - and the violence really begins.

But Duff's got a plan of his own. With a little help from some well-armed friends, he's going to flush this phony out of Chugwater - and run his hired killers out of town on a rail...

KILLER TAKE ALL--(DUFF)

This is another excellent adventure in the Duff MacCallister series. This is one of my favorite series. Every book is good. I have listened to every book in both versions. Like this one with one narrator and also the Dramatized ones with several narrators. I love both. In this book Jacob Freemantle is overseeing a railroad being build. I liked him. He get kidnapped and is saved by a prostitute. That is my favorite part. This book should have a million five star reviews. It's that good. P. J. Oclan does an excellent job narrating this book. Story expands

The plot is expanded to other states and characters. The Chinese characters have more of a prominent role at the building of the railroad. The narrator is superb as usual with oriental accents.

Duffs Story is Fun

I liked the book; however, the series is getting repetitive. Hopefully, the newer books are more exciting and graphic.

land grabbers, big railroads and con artists

are no match for Duff, Elmer and Wang....rescued by a saloon hostess is a very pleasant twist..emanate domain abuse is still an issue 100+ years later....maybe moreso.
