I really loved Alessandra and Dominic, their story was really heartbreaking on a every day, real life level. The way Ale felt was something so many women feel on a daily basis and I loved that she was strong enough to say, despite my love for you, I deserve more than this. This story was angsty. Beyond angsty really, it was sad and hard to smile during for a good portion of the story. It was good, and well told, but not necessarily a favorite of mine simply because it made me so sad for so long.

The narration was absolutely fantastic though and 100% worth it. Teddy Hamilton was a dream as always and I loved Vanessa Vasquez as well. This is a duet with amazing production and I loved it.

This author's stories always amaze me. Somehow, without even trying, she easily sucks me into the world that she’s created. The marriage in crisis trope is becoming one of my favorites. It’s such a pleasure to read about a couple fall back in love with each other again. I think Ana did a phenomenal job doing that with Dominic and Alessandra.

Teddy Hamilton & Vanessa Vasquez did such a phenomenal job with this book. I’m pretty sure I haven’t listened to any other audiobooks with Vanessa and I absolutely loved her voice for Ále. Such a perfect fit. And Teddy Hamilton could literally do no wrong. His voice is impeccable and I don’t think I could’ve pictured anyone else voice Dom other than him.

I really loved the book overall, Ále and Dom are to die for, but the ending fell so flat for me. I feel like I was expecting a little bit more drama than what we were given, considering the circumstances with Roman and whatever the heck he’s part of. It just didn’t feel like it was fully fleshed out.

Other than that this book overall was great! I’m so excited to read/listen to King of Sloth once it comes out next year!

This is a wonderful second chance romance! I was so proud of Alessandra! Finally doing what she needs to do for herself and leaving Dominic scrambling. She held fast and made him really figure out how to reconnect with her outside the bedroom. I liked Dominic and he really has to grow and change to become the man Alessandra wants and needs. This has a wonderful cast and exciting moments! I enjoyed seeing characters from the past books. Friends always have the best advice!

I listened to this on audio. Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Vasquez did an amazing job with DUET narration! This is the third book in this series but could be read as a stand alone.

This was a great listen, I felt the emotional moments thanks to the wonderful work of the narrators. Ále and Dom story is a common one when you’ve been married for a long time and start taking things for granted. Ana did an amazing job depicting Alessandra’s detachment from a situation that strayed far from the original plans. Dom’s angst was great as well, you could understand it and also judge him a lil bit. This is my favorite so far.

I am making this one my first 5star of the year. Some may think that is a stretch but this is my review lol.
I don't normally like when there is more angst than spice in a book but this one gets a pass. This was such a good Second Chance Romance. How do I review this without giving away spoilers. Aye!
Dominic is King of Wall Street, very ambitious and determined to never be poor again, married to the love of his life Alessandra. He is so determined in business that he didn't see that his wife was slipping away from him until she was gone. The saying you never know what you have until it is gone, well this is what this story is. It is an emotional rollercoaster because you know by reading this that they love each other with everything they are but for Alessandra she was tired of not being seen or coming first so she walked away. This story is about what happens when you put others and things before the one person that is the most important to you, because you believe they will always be there no matter what and how by doing that you take the chance of losing them, possibly forever.
I loved Dom's determination to get Alessandra back and to show her through his actions not just words that he will never let her or what they have get away from them again if she just gave them another chance. There is also a tidbit of mystery thrown in with the side story of Dom and his foster brother Rome.
So far of the 3 in the series that have been released this is the one I love the most. Side note: After I posted my review on Audible and Goodreads I glanced some reviews with one or two stars and it's like we didn't read the same thing because who doesn't like a groveling man that admits he is wrong on so many levels and wants nothing more to fix what he knows he's broken.
Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Vasquez narration brought so much to this story. The bar is set high for the remaining books in the series for me.
