Rowan

I'm in the business of creating fairy tales. Theme parks. Production companies. Five-star hotels. Everything could be all mine if I renovated Dreamland. My initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then I kissed her. Things spiraled out of control once I texted her using an alias. By the time I realized where I went wrong, it was too late.

People like me don't get happy endings. Not when we're destined to ruin them.

Zahra

After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland's most expensive ride, I should have been fired. Instead, Rowan Kane offered me a dream job. The catch? I had to work for the most difficult boss I'd ever met.

Rowan was rude and completely off-limits, but my heart didn't care. At least not until I discovered his secret. It was time to teach the billionaire that money couldn't fix everything. Especially not us.

Contains mature themes.

Loved it so much!!!

I really liked the book and the romance. I got so mad at Rowan at the end but he made it up because he’s a secret sweetie.

Cute & Interesting

This book was lite, cute and fun to read. I read a lot of dark romances and this was the perfect in between books. I’m definitely a fan of Lauren Asher now. I would love to see these books turned into a movie.

Just another predictable romance…

The story was fine and predictable. I finished the book and I honestly couldn’t recall anything special. I wish the author dragged the alias texting part out more. It was honestly the only entertaining part 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is the hype really worth it?

I picked up this series because it was all over my FYP. Was it worth the read? Meh.

The performance of the voice actors is fine and that's not impacting my rating. The book was lacking. There were definitely moments where i cringed at something Rowan did. What's with books fantasizing toxic men? It's time we see healthy relationships in books. The moment Zahra realizes Rowan isn't what he seems and rejects him you know it's going to be short lived. I will read the other two books in the series because i bought them, but they are low on my TBR list after this.

Favorite out of the series!

I read them out of order and I’m glad I did because this one was my favorite! Would’ve sucked to read the other ones when I didn’t like them as much. Absolutely LOVED Zara, great character!

Very mediocre, sorry

The story isn’t that good, the narration is fine but the plot is so basic.

Beautifully narrated!

The story telling fit perfectly! The plot and the way it was told kept me intrigued for hours and hours

Performance

The voice of Rowan was so hot! I also loved how the performers took turns reading the chapters! This really helped submerge the listener into the story.

DNF

To many no’s. The reference to a homophobic restaurant, the comparison to a theme park in Florida, I just couldn’t continue without wondering what agenda was happening here.

Best Grumpy Sunshine

Rowan and Zarah are the best grumpy/sunshine duo. I love that Rowan had a curiosity about Zarah from the beginning which ignited his slight obsession about learning who she was. Not only do you get to see both characters fall in love, but you also see how they both grow individually.
I also grew to love and care for Ani! I love how the author incorporated characters with DS and also made them out to be independent, hard working, and bubbly people.
Narration was also fantastic! Their voices definitely fit the characters well.
