Publisher's summary

In the blink of an eye, Willow Bernard goes from stocking shelves at the Piggly Wiggly to kicking butt at Viking MMA.

Willow Bernard has taken a lot of hits in her 22 years but always manages to come back swinging. Hoping to fly under the radar for a change, she relocates to Green Valley. Her strategy works until one fateful phone call initiates a series of events that shakes up her quiet existence.

Tattooed adventure-seeker Ozzi Erickson goes where the wind takes him. When he blows into Green Valley for his big brother’s wedding—and to figure out his next move—he isn’t prepared for the knock-out punch coming his way.

With Ozzi sticking around the Tennessee mountain town, his brother gives him a temporary assignment as Willow Bernard’s trainer.

His job is to teach her how to fight. But will she have the skills required to protect her heart?

Knock Out is a full-length contemporary romance and can be listened to as a standalone. Book #4 in the Fighting for Love series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.

LOVE MMA STORIES

This Mixed Martial Arts story has a female as the main fighter. I loved it. This story has a unique tail of a person who ages out of foster care becomes an amazing person. No saying they can’t just sayin that is what this story is about. The narrators are good.

Small-Town Sports Romance

Willow may be the strongest, most genuine heroine I’ve read to-date. She rolls with the punches, takes things in stride, and makes s**t happen. Jiffy Kate writes tough fighting Vikings, but the strength of their heroines matches or surpasses the fellas. Knock Out is a small-town, spicy sports romance with a lionhearted heroine and an affable, slightly flawed hero.

Stefanie Kay and Espen Cooper are new-to-me narrators and I’ll be seeking out their work for future listens! Stefanie Kay’s performance is wonderful as the impassioned, witty, beguiling, tough-as-nails MMA prospect Willow. Espen Cooper is heart-meltingly charming and funny as the dreamy book boyfriend, Ozzie. Jiffy Kate’s relatable, clever, and endearing characters in the Fighting for Love series will be missed. I can’t wait to do a series audio marathon. If you love small-town, sports, opposites attract, badass heroine romance, the Fighting for Love series is a must-listen!

Narrator

The narrator's voice belongs on the annoying loser that doesn't get it or anything about women. It's....difficult. It's Earkle from the 90s & any character with a pocket protector. It was actually shocking.
