Alpha Grayson McNally is one of Howling Hills' hottest bachelors - or at least, he would be if he weren't still grieving for the ex who left him behind five years ago. He's learned to hide his loneliness behind smiles and practical jokes, but when a rogue bee sting sends him to the hospital, Grayson wonders if he might not have a second chance at love after all.
All Harvey has ever wanted was to become a doctor - and it's something he's excelled at, his passion for saving other people rivaled only by the belief that he doesn't deserve a happy ending for himself. Leaving Grayson behind to get his education was a no-brainer, but even Harvey can't resist the call between them when the one man who never left his heart comes back into his life...as a patient.
Sparks fly as one chance meeting leads to another, but the discovery that Grayson is Harvey's fated mate leaves him with mixed emotions. Harvey loves Grayson... but he also loves his career.
Will an unexpected pregnancy be the key to tearing down the walls surrounding this omega's heart?

The narrator was clear and kept a decent pace. Not a lot of difference in the voice of each of the characters but it didn't detract too much from the story.

Both MC's were heartbroken when one stayed in Howling Hills, but the other transplanted to the east coast to study medicine in one of the country's premier universities. They didn't keep in contact.
As part of his residency, our doctor was assigned to the Howling Hills hospital, where he ran into his ex in the ER.
Do you ignore the past, use it as a shield, remake a relationship? All of the above, all of the feels.
Narrator Parker Momas was a solid narration listen on day one. The next day, he sounded like he was speaking in a tin can! Not possible. Someone *ahem* was messing with the audio settings, and really sent them sideways. Resetting the audio brought Parker's smooth tones back, and the book finished with a Bonus Chapter that was a lot of fun.

The way this book started was epic, hahaha a bee sting on Grayson's nether regions, yes I laughed like a donkey for longer then necessary. Honestly though the humour was a great start and much needed. I had a hard time connecting to Harvey. I just thought he was very selfish. Grayson was solid and knew what he wanted but Harvey just kept pulling back and putting his job before Grayson. I know that Harvey's career was important but he really only decided not to go because of the pregnancy and even then it felt like he only agreed because the the other doctor told him it wouldn't be safe to deliver in another country. Yikes, I just couldn't connect with Harvey and felt that Grayson deserved better.
I really like that throughout this series you get a different narrator for each book. Parker did a really good job and brought all the different characters to life. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? immersive story with a good pace and Interesting (well developed) characters who showed some good personal growth throughout the story.
Mother Moon has deemed Grayson and Harvey as fated mates, but can Grayson get past the anger and hurt he still holds over Harvey leaving him years ago to give them a chance.
Narrator comment: I enjoyed Parker Momus' narration and think he has done a reasonable job narrating Knot the Ex. There wasn't a huge difference between voices, but there was enough difference in the personalities of the characters that it was enough to distinguish who was speaking. I found Harvey's voice 'sharp' and needed to turn the volume down slightly on his chapters and there were times when the narration was a little flat, but it wasn't enough to detract from the story.
enjoyed it
