I read this book several years ago and really enjoyed it; enough to read the whole series. I will say that it is very similar to the Twilight Saga. If you enjoyed Twilight, then you will probably like reading this series. BUT, I do not recommend the audiobook version. The narration is TERRIBLE! The worst. When I first started listening I had to quit shortly after. It’s like listening to a robot. Like the automated voice you hear on a phone call. Some of the characters voices were just too painful to listen to. I should have requested a refund at that point. But after some time I decided to go back and finish listening to the whole book and I will say the narration doesn’t get any better. Also, it ends with a cliffhanger. If you want to know what happens after that I suggest you read it and not waste your money on the audiobook version.

Wouldn’t recommend: terrible narration & cliffhanger ending
