Will American politics always be dominated by the two major political parties or are voters longing for an independent candidate to challenge the establishment?
Everyone thought that the slate of candidates for the presidential election had been set until Benjamin Franklin Foster came on the scene capturing the hearts of American voters with his message of change and reform. Powerful interests intent on preserving the status quo with their bought-and-paid-for politicians were determined to take Ben Foster out of the race. The Secret Service comes up with a quirky plan to protect the candidate and strike a blow for Lady Justice.
Will there be a new resident in the White House or will it be politics as usual? Join Walt on the campaign trail for an adventure full of mystery, intrigue, and laughs!

The more I listen to the Lady Justice series, the more I love Robert Thornhill as an author. This series is just brilliant and funny and has such a good well rounded cast of individual characters.
I love the fact that this series faces up to hard topics, and nothing is harder than politics. Ben Foster is an independent running for office, which severely limits his probability for achieving the station. Thornhill makes him so likeable and so appealing as a candidate that you want him to succeed. I really enjoyed this book and it’s possibly one of my favourite Lady Justice novels.
My only complaint about this novel is that the political speeches made by Ben Foster did get kinda boring. I did start zoning because they went on a bit.
Completely Enjoyable

Once again Walt and Lady Justice take aim at a controversial target. This time Politics and the National Elections. Always an unwitting Don Quixote he is now going to help the outsider candidate who is tackling the two party system. Walt just doing his duty and not taking sides finds himself drawn in as he listens To Ben Franklin Foster talk about his plans and what he believes is necessary to save America.
Big Money interests and assassination attempts all add to this world that Walt finds surrounding the candidate.
This is a great listen and is an enjoyable ride as we race to the end.
And not the ending you expect.

What did you like best about this story?
The 9th installment of the lady Justice series , another controversial subject, Politics.
Walt Williams is called on a top secret special mission , to protect an independent candidate for presidency, Ben Foster. He is not the average politician, he was once the Mayor of a Small city in Montana. What he stands for is not the typical political views, he stands for the people.

Any additional comments?
Wow, I just love this series! Walt is called upon to be a double for independent presidential candidate Ben Foster - a man who could already be his twin. Ben has been spouting controversial views and has received death threats. The writing was fantastic, with plenty of action, humor and witty dialogue. The storyline was so engaging that I was entertained from beginning to end. Although this story is fictional, the topics certainly aren't. A corrupt FDA? A government that squanders our money and quashes our rights? Say it isn't so! I only wish that Ben Foster was a real person because I would vote for him in a heartbeat! The narration of George Kuch was terrific and I especially loved his sarcasm. He was the perfect "Walt". Would I recommend this? You bet I would!

What made the experience of listening to Lady Justice and the Candidate the most enjoyable?
The characters, the writing, the humor, Mr. Thornhill's "tilting at giants" that really aren't windmills. lolThere aren't many moments where the usual supporting family and friends are present. Walt is "dead", undercover, playing body double! His usual entourage is left in the dark.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Lady Justice and the Candidate?
I liked the "campaigning" ideas that are suggested. I was introduced to the phrase "worthless as [mammary glands] on a fish" and I still have milk coming out my nose with that one! Warning!!! roflmaoHave you listened to any of George Kuch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have and he is perfect for this series. I enjoy the "easter egg" premise where Mr. Kuch has to sing. This go around: the spoken lyrics to Jimmy Dean's " Big Bad John"!!!Who was the most memorable character of Lady Justice and the Candidate and why?
Walt, Ben Foster and though only in a supporting role "Sully". Walt because he has become family through the series. Foster represents what the recent candidates (either) failed to live up to. And Sully for his bravery and loyalty.Any additional comments?
I have so much enjoyed the entire Lady Justice series. I'm in my mid 60's and strongly identify and admire Walt. The writing is exceptional, not high brow literature certainly, but intelligent, relevant, and funny!I always ask myself after listening to an audio book, "Was it entertaining"? This most certainly was! I can't think of a better compliment than that.
FOR THOSE THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT: THERE ARE RARE PROFANITIES. They didn't distract from the story for me or was I bothered by it. Just a HEADS UP!
