About this listen

Walt discovers a manuscript hidden in the false bottom of a cabinet Maggie bought at a craft fair. The manuscript, written by a woman named Lenore, tells the tragic story of a life filled with abuse, incest, and finally, murder. Drawn in by the story, Walt becomes entangled with members of the family whose lives mirror characters in many of Edgar Allen Poe’s Gothic novels.

Accompanying Walt on this curious journey is a raven that guides Walt through the terrifying and often dangerous encounters with this family, whose lives are filled with tragedy and remorse.

Will Walt prevail, or will he succumb to the evil curse that has plagued this troubled family for four generations?

GREAT READ, GREAT SERIES

Lady Justice and the Raven is my thirty-ninth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Perfect for Halloween

This installment is chilling, and right on time for Halloween. Some aspects of it are very dark, but yet Robert Thornhill found a way to tell the story with grace and a bit of humor to lighten it up. If you love the creepy genre & you love mystery’s then this is the perfect blend of the two!

I love this seies

Book 39 in this great series Lady Justice. I am proud to say I have read all of them and loved them all. Walt and the gang never fail to make me giggle and shake my head. This book had a fun twist in that the story line followed many of Edgar Allan Poe's books. So fun even if its been years since I had read any of Poe's books. George Kuch is the narrator again and he is just plain wonderful. I hope this series never ends. If you have not read any of these you really must give it a go. I just got my husband listening to them and he is hooked too.

Walt is at it again

I was afraid the hidden story would trigger my own abuse but thankfully it did not. Walt and his gang get into quiet a few scraps that they only just manage to get out of. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Definitely a tribute to Poe

First off, I have to say this is my first book in this huge series. I don't know anything about the other books but this was iffy for me. I do like Poe, but this was a little more Poe than I cared for. It began to be somewhat predictable and seemed to go on and on. That being said, I did like it and did listen until the end. The narration was very good. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

LADY JUSTICE AND THE RAVEN

There is a lot of books in this series. I liked this book a lot. Maggie buys an antique storage chest and walt finds a dairy in a false bottom. It's the life of Lenore. A lot of bad things happened to her. She had to kill her father. They go through the events that happened back then. This book held my interest and I'll try other ones in this series. George Kuch does a good job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Fantastic!!!

Lady Justice and the Raven
by Robert Thornhill

After Maggie and Walt visit a craft fair where they found a perfect cabinet, Walt discovers a false bottom. A woman named Lenore confesses to many things in her childhood including murder. The gang helps Walt and Kevin as they work to unravel the story behind the manuscript.

The author also brings social issues into play. I love to think and re-think those issues even after the book is finished!!!
This is the perfect autumn read. Halloween approach and the works of Poe entwine perfectly with this story line.
I think this is possibly my favorite Lady Justice book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch is the perfect voice for this series!!!

This was by far the most eerie of the books in this series... great story line and as always it touched on things that people just don’t readily talk about!! I loved it!!

Quoth the raven...

murder, mysteries, EAPoe, situational-humor, verbal-humor, incest

What could be more fun than combining the Lady Justice gang with the words of EAPoe? Even if some painful subjects are covered, it's still a great giggle! And George Kuch continues to be the voice of Walt and friends.
Only a little ax grinding here. The main problem in nursing homes is not nefariousness, but lack of staffing due to government constraints and lack of staff who want to be abused by patients, families, and administration for poor wages and little to no recognition. End of rant by retired RN/daughter.

Entertaining

Walt Williams and gang are back, this time a mystery with eerily similar story to an Edgar Allan Poe story! The characters are likable and believable. The storyline is interesting and entertaining! The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
