Publisher's summary

Suzanne Collins wrote The Hunger Games, Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World and George Orwell wrote 1984. All three novels were about dystopian societies of the future. In Lady Justice and the Watchers, Walt Williams sees the world we live in today through the eyes of a group who call themselves 'The Watchers'. Oscar Levant said that there's a fine line between genius and insanity. After listening to Lady Justice and the Watchers, you may realize as Walt did that there's also a very fine line separating the life of freedom that we enjoy today and the totalitarian society envisioned in these classic novels. Quietly and without fanfare, powerful interests have instituted policies that have eroded our privacy, health and individual freedoms. Is the dystopian society still a thing of the distant future or is it with us now disguised as a wolf in sheep's clothing?

I Would Tell You More, But, Someone is Watching

Robert Thornhill addresses one of the moral dilemmas of today with humor and light suspense. Thornhill brings Walt, Ox and their senior friends in to the good, the bad , and the ugly of government surveillance. Walt and Ox are involved in several life saving situations that where technology is the hero, but along the way they meet the Watchers. A duo who are rightly concerned about how far the Big Brother has gone and the potential consequences making everyone think about how far it could or already has gone. And once again get ready for an exciting Thornhill style ending.
Well worth the listen

GREAT STORYLINE .... MAKE SURE TO READ

Would you listen to Lady Justice and the Watchers again? Why?

for the first time that I can remember, I will definitely listen to this one again. Covered so much info on 'big brother' and how we are falling into an 'Orwillian' life.
! am assuming Mr Thornhill has done his research well before sharing all this knowledge with his readers. The entire story was super.

What other book might you compare Lady Justice and the Watchers to and why?

have not read anything lately that is comparable to this.

Have you listened to any of George Kuch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Another great performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

not sure

Any additional comments?

I received this audio book for free from the author, narrator or publisher and am freely offering my honest, unbiased opinion with this review.

Take me out to the...wait who is watching me?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this story along with all others in the Lady Justice series are by far some of the best mystery thriller action humor and everything else all neatly package into one fantastic book.

What did you like best about this story?

All the insight on the government ever watching eye after the patriot act went into affect. If you loved the last one with big pharma then you will love this one too as it continues on with that and then more.

What about George Kuch’s performance did you like?

There is no other man alive that can do Walt justice the way George does.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My reaction is always the same. Pure content and amazement how is able to entertain, educate and keeps things fresh for devoted and new readers.

Any additional comments?

Just like all others in this series the story stands on its own but in order to get a real value of all the characters you should do yourself a great service and read/listen to them all.

Still watching

life lessons, humor, mystery, law enforcement, social issues

Many laughs in a novel of frightening clarity delving into issues of today in the guise of a mystery involving law enforcement and a radical group who are watching government encroachment of the individual. There is lots of fun here, but do yourself a favor and evaluate the lesson, too.
George Kuch continues to be perfect as the voice of Walt.

Witty, Likeable, Relevant

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I get so much entertainment from the stories by Mr. Thornhill and by George Kuch's performances. Each book in the series is like looking in and catching up with some great "friends".

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It isn't an "edge of my seat" type of story. It is crafted ( as all the Lady Justice stories are) to be entertaining while being informative with a larger issue from life. In this case, technology. Both invasive and beneficial.

Which character – as performed by George Kuch – was your favorite?

I take my listens on as a whole effort basis. Mr. Kuch has performed throighout the whole eight audio books in this series. He is comfortable with Robert's writing style and his own presentation of the characters. That's the major quality that comes through. Another is George's preparation. Listeners should appreciate that too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

At 5 and a half hours that's doable. But I listened for enjoyment so I did take a few breaks.

Any additional comments?

Robert Thornhill has developed some great characters and built reliable stories around "from the headlines" issues. In this case, technology - good and evil.

There is great interaction between reoccurring characters and peripheral ones.

There are many moments of thought provoking humor, poking sarcastic finger at the RFID / Obamacare Hoax, as example of negative use of technology online.

I appreciate the opportunity to review this title!

This review copy audiobook was provided by the author at no cost. Which I can only assume was voluntary on their part. I am happy to give my honest review of it. I think I'm suppose to mention how reviewing this was voluntary on my part too.

Thanks again, Mr. Thornhill!

Conspiracy theories Oh My!

If you could sum up Lady Justice and the Watchers in three words, what would they be?

Technology technology tecnology

Which character – as performed by George Kuch – was your favorite?

Mary

If you could take any character from Lady Justice and the Watchers out to dinner, who would it be and why?

All of the main characters couldn't just choose one.

Any additional comments?

With each book I learn new things and like new things. This book, however, makes you think about what was lost after the 911 attack. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

I received this book free from the author, and this is my unbiased opion. these books are fun to listen to. I love Walt and all of the characters. the story has some far fetched coincidences, but I still get a kick out of it. I also enjoy the political commentary.

How much privacy do we really have?

Each of these books have a "theme" or an overarching topic which plays a role throughout the entire book. This book's theme is government overreach/corruption, privacy/spying & terrorism. And yes these all connect together! They discuss how our smartphones & computers take personal information which is then used by the government & businesses. This ties into how they also spy on our conversations and that we don't have nearly as much privacy as we think, but if it's for the good cause of stopping terrorism then is it ok? Many questions &heavy topics are discussed, but it's also done with lots of humor & wit. It's not too dark, but very thought provoking. I love this series!

Thought provoking

I liked this book. Lady Justice and the Watchers takes a look at serious subject matters and give you pause.

Things like ONStar, cell phones and credit cards, every day conveniences that can be used for good or by the consumer to make life a little better or easier, begs us to ask, who is getting all that information and what are they using it for? Those are a couple questions that were raised and have me thinking and pondering just a little bit more.

I thought the voice that George Kuch used to portrayed the characters were well done, and fit the droll, laugh out loud humor in this book.
