Publisher's summary

I refuse to let this woman have any power over me.

She's just my prisoner.

But once my Muse is in trouble, I'll do anything to save her.

Anything to protect her.

She was supposed to inspire me, please me.

She was never supposed to care about me.

Or make me care about her.

Incredulously

Over use of this word in this series is really getting to me! Anyone else? Is it just me?

Eh… not a fan of

Michael. I like Samantha but I get frustrated too much with Michael changing the wording of the story. I’ll continue because I’m weak - and want to see what happens with Muse and Conway.
But again, not a fan of Michael and I’m PAYING A FORTUNE ON THESE AUDIBLE BOOKS BECAUSE I’m partially blind and can’t read so well anymore. FRUSTRATING!!!

WONDERFUL.. THIS SERIES GETS BETTER AND BETTER

Phewee.. well, as this very addictive story hurtled its way to the final few seconds I was blissfully unaware it was cliffhanger time.. so wrapped up in the nail-biting drama that I lost all sense of time. I was riveted by the character growth and the caring relationship that developed between Conway Barsetti and Sapphire that made them an inseparable couple. Riveted by the tense underground world of slave auctions.. and the new danger that’s lurking in the dark - maybe someone’s getting ready to cause chaos. Riveted by the very difficult conversation Conway and Carter have with their Dads detailing their underground activities and the disturbing news they’d just uncovered. And I was especially riveted by the emotional tsunami that Conway created after he heard how Sapphire truly felt about him.. which turned him back into his guise of cold heartless monster.. so gone is the protective possessive alpha lover. His actions leave a devastated heartbroken Sapphire who has to pick up the pieces of her shattered life.. but, out of the ashes of heartbreak and broken dreams, I’m sure a very strong Sapphire will rebuild her life, will make Conway regret his words.. and will make him pay for becoming Jackass Of The Year.

Penelope Sky has delivered yet another outstanding book, filled it with descriptive scenes, h.h.hot scenes, hold your breath tension filled scenes, sensual scenes, sweet scenes and oh boy wtf are you doing scenes. There’s smouldering chemistry, great dialogue, colorful multi-layered characters and a guest appearance of Button, Crow and Cane. Dual POV and the awesome narration by Michael and Samantha not only brought these characters to life.. they made the story unforgettable too.

Worth a credit? ABSOLUTELY YES - every.. single..thing.. was just perfect and I’m craving my next fix in the series.

Conway & Sapphire

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible review. Dual POV. Lingerie Series Book 3 of 15. Average American accent for 99% of the narration even though Conway is Italian; Michael briefly adopts an Italian accent. Trigger warnings: human trafficking; @n@l.

Conway pays all of Sapphire's debts. Andrew calls Sapphire for an answer as to whether she will work for him or not, he increases his offer and gives her time to think about it. Conway takes Sapphire out to dinner, he tells her about the conversation with his parents, that he paid her outstanding USA debts and Knuckles, that he's setting her free after they'd been living together for 3 months but that he wants her to stay. Sapphire turns Andrew down and stays with Conway. Pearl takes Sapphire shopping, Conway tells Sapphire about the loss of his aunt. Conway and Sapphire fly to NY for Conway's show and it's a success. Conway goes to The Underground to talk to Cynthia (one of the waitresses) about Bones, pays her $40,000 for information on him, he stays for the auction, he purchases a young girl for $30 million then takes her to Carter so he can return her to her family. Conway & Sapphire travel to Greece for a short vacation. Cynthia calls Conway and confirms that Bones is "the" Bones' son. Conway and Carter go to speak to their fathers about the younger Bones, Crow tells Conway a little about his past, and Conway and Carter promise never to return to The Underground. Conway sees Sapphire confirm she loves him to the press. Conway shuts down refusing to accept that he's also in love with her. Sapphire calls Carter to find out what happened, he tells her he showed Conway the video of her proclaiming her love for Conway, and then tells her that Conway says he doesn't love her. Sapphire confronts Conway, he kicks her out but gives her his Ferrari and a suitcase full of cash as she leaves that she threw in his yard. Sapphire calls Andrew and accepts his offer to model for him. JP

repetitive

All about sex, not enough of an actual story. this entire series is needlessly drawn out. I'm the third book in and I keep waiting for something anything to happen other then them just screwing. Sad because I loved the first couple of series that involved Crow and Kane but there was more then just sex with those for three books. Performance gets five stars just because I love the narrators in all books they do.

Porn with no plot.

One of my all time favorite series is Button and Lace. I have the books and audios and read and listen to them many times. I finally broke down and paid for the Lingeries Series audiobooks thinking it would be just as Awesome. I didn't care for the first three trying and hoping it was more to it. The basic straight forward porn warp I was tortured with had so many chances to develop a great plot but every single time it fizzled quickly into nothing. I did the first 3 and part of the 4th. My eyes rolled so hard and so many times, I think they are permanently stuck in that position.

The narrators weren't bad. They just wasn't what I thought they should be. The male leads voice I thought should be more gravelly. His accented voice reminded me of the Count on Sesame Street. Her voice was better just different.

So for those of you who absolutely positively loved Buttons and Lace as much as I did.....run as fast as you can from the Lingerie series.

Back to Slow Town

First book: Painfully slow and repetitive.
Second book: Much better
This third book: Back to SLOW and repetitive.
THEN... in the last 5 minutes... a Cliffhanger! Dang it.
Fourth book: Here I come. If the fourth book doesn’t deliver in the first 30 minutes, I’m out and not looking back.
SO FRUSTRATING
