About this listen

That a woman who was his perfect match even existed. And that he'd find her in a bustling café. Yet just the scent of sweet, mortal Torrance Watson ignited a driving, explosive need to claim her that he knew his pack would never sanction. Worse, the rogue werewolf he'd been hunting had sensed that attraction and made Torry his prey. Forced to safeguard her from this ruthless assassin, who already posed a threat to his pack, Mason now faced the ultimate challenge. Did he have the courage to cross the line by sealing the blood bond that would make Torry his alone - a disloyalty few of his kind ever survived - or would he live an eternity without love?

Could not finish

It takes a fantastic female narrator to be able to do a strong make voice. This narrator cannot do it. Her accents are great, but I couldn't get pass the voice. Which is I could not finish listening to the book.

The book starts out ridiculous and way too much detail, but, I will admit it starts pulling me in, especially the character of Jeremy. I bought the Kindle version because I am curious how the story is going to end.

An enjoyable listen!

To be honest, I wasn’t holding out much hope, for this novel but, what can I say, I’m a shifter romance junkie and therefore gave it a try. Now, I admit, there are a few cheesy, eye rolling lines but, overall, it was a pretty entertaining plot. It wasn’t a great classic that I’ll want to listen to over and over but, I feel like it was time well spent and I intend to continue with the series.

Almost too much angst.

It was a good story. I’m sorry to say that I lost interest in the main characters due to the amount of angst between the two. It went on for too long. In fact I found the secondary characters like Jeremy more interesting.

Action Packed

This was my first for this author. I am happily surprise and recommend this book.

Amazing

There is a lot of good action and mystery, in this book. I enjoyed listening to the clues being discovered and pieced together. What I didn’t enjoy is all the angst and heartbreak the characters suffer, just because they refuse to communicate with honesty. Yes, I know that these kinds of situations happen in real life but, these senseless relationship issues all because no one wants to open up enough of their soul, to the person they want to be with. “ That’s All I’ve Got to say About that,”

Series has some potential

I spent a lot of time listening to this book and this it was a little “cheesy” but I was having a very stressful time at work so it was actually just what I needed to relax on my commute home. That in itself probably saved it a star along with the fact that the supporting characters seem to be more intriguing than the two main ones.

The universe and setting the author created were very good and I like the mythology around the wolves and how the hierarchy of the pack works. The other bloodrunners were immediately likeable and is the only that kept me going during some points in the book. The two main characters were just okay and I’m good with that but I didn’t really feel like I was invested in their relationship.

My biggest issue was the conflict and bad guy. I thought he was a little lame and was really getting worn out waiting for it to all be over. I just didn’t see why Mason didn’t end it sooner. I also had an issue with the blood bond – it gave the story a twinge of ickiness. The two characters are chosen life mates and the whole love thing seems to be just a side note so it was hard to decide if Torrance and Mason were actually in love or just bonded.

I will be continuing the series as I am interested in seeing how the other bloodrunner’s stories go. The author did create a unique, diverse of characters among the bloodrunners.

Good Story!

This was a good story, but I missed the reason for the need to feed! What caused the change of "the" Elder mindset? The narrator identified in the opening announcement is not the narrator listed. Clarissa Knightly is actually the narrator and I've loved her style/voice normally but she's missing something for this story.

I tried I really really did

There's not much to say about this at least for me I really really tried to get into it kept on myself to push through it because I'm looking for a decent werewolf romance novel here lately I just find both characters to be extremely annoying the female is waffling I don't know maybe it's partly the narration whatever this book just got on my nerves I got to about chapter 8 and couldn't take anymore :-(

Surprisingly terrible

Juvenile story line written at a 6th grade reading level, read completely deadpan. Can’t even finish this absurdly dumb book.

Rediculious

I'm not a quitter. When I start of book I finish it. I found my self fast-forwarding towards the end because I just couldn't take the stupidity.
