About this listen

The book, Lean Startup: How to Apply the Lean Startup Methodology to Innovate, Accelerate, and Create Successful Businesses, aims to help entrepreneurs build a profitable business. Failure may be inevitable, especially for startup businesses, but truth is, most of these failures could be preventable. This book introduces a new approach with the hopes of changing the way businesses are built and new products and/or services are introduced.

When you start a business, you are in a bubble of uncertainty for some time. This is true whether you are building a company from your garage or you belong to a group of experienced and successful entrepreneurs.

Lean Startup methodology derives its inspiration lean manufacturing, which relies on validated learning, quick scientific experimentation, and counter-intuitive practices that are aimed to minimize product development cycles, quantify actual progress without the need to creating metrics, and find out what consumers really want. Lean Startup helps transition any company to shift directions with gusto and tweaking plans slowly.

Companies may do away creating elaborate, sometimes unreachable, business plans. This book caters to all kinds of entrepreneurs, whether you belong to a huge company or you've just started in your parent's garage (or backyard). The book also teaches entrepreneurs to learn to adapt and eventually adjust to the changing times.

The Lean Startup book aims to have startup entrepreneurs learn a new scientific approach that will help them create the best products and/or provide the best services. And it doesn't have to start there, listeners will learn how to manage and maintain a successful startup in a time when companies have to be on their toes all the time and continuously innovate to stay competitive in the market.

The book is very insightful!

This book really illustrates the whole development process of your business. It could have been shorter though, and some times the example, especially the numbers attached to it could be misleading.

I get many conductive ideas from this audible.

Deploying Six Sigma as a business strategy through projects instead of tools is the more effective way to benefit from the time and money invested in Six Sigma training. The idea that you must spend a huge amount of money before testing your idea on the market is not correct according to this book.

Amazing audiobook

Some great info in here no doubt. However, as with seemingly all American speakers - it is badly spoken. The work and effort required to gain insights from the book are quite frankly poor.

My favorite "lean" book

The lean model is so popular these days, everyone is talking about it. This book however stands out of the crowd: it implements the theory and gets down to business; gives you what to dos and what not to dos. Highly encourage anyone starting a business or involved in a startup to study this book!

Best audiobook

The reason I think the title is wrong is that it may put off readers who already have a business due to having "Start-Up" in the title. In truth it matters not if you have been running a business for a number of years as growing a business in any form or direction would also benefit just as new business needs to drive growth from nothing.

I am so much interested to learn about this book

Six Sigma training for practitioners Black Belts using this approach typically consists of four weeks of instruction over four months, where students work on their projects during the three weeks between sessions. It's opening eyes for important measures, introduce effective techniques that work in startups, but most importantly.
