Three’s a charm!!

This is the third book (so far) in the Ashley Hope series. After listening to the first book I went ahead and purchased the next two. I think they were both worth getting. In the three books this character has gained momentum and has really developed in personality and in her professional career as an investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
This book has Ashley and her partner hunting a brutal serial killer. They believe it could possibly be a police officer who stops to “help” people who’s cars have broken down. Instead this person is taking the victim to torture for days before leaving the bodies where they can be easily found.
In the meanwhile Ashley and her new partner are having difficulty communicating. They continuously misinterpret each other’s words which leads her to feel very insecure about her future with the bureau.
Billie Bryant does a very good job. I do increase the narration speed up to 1.2 because for me, I think she speaks a little slower then I like.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
