About this listen

Last week, high-powered coffee buyer Amy O'Hara was trekking through the Ethiopian cloud forest on the verge of a discovery that could save the coffee bean from extinction. This week, she's unexpectedly fired.

Suddenly Amy's days are no longer filled with meetings and upscale tastings, but with put-together PTA moms, puke-ridden playdates, and dirty dishes. Her husband has locked himself in the garage in order to write the Great American Screenplay, while both kids are steaming mad at her because she insists on dressing them like normal people and won't give up sending them to school with healthy lunches.

It's becoming clear that Amy may just be the world's most incompetent mother, and she's beginning to wonder if the only thing she's good for is bringing home the bacon. When salvation appears in the form of a movie-mogul ex-boyfriend who wants to employ her husband and rekindle their relationship, Amy starts to find she's sorely tempted.

One thing is certain: whatever happens, she's going to need a lot more caffeine.

I loved the book. However, I did not like numerous use of the word god for profanity and the F bombs.

To be honest I hit a wall when the main character was about to throw it all away, but I continued on.

You lost me with the F-bombs and the “baby JC” comment. Made it half way through but quit when the offensive comments over powered the otherwise decent writing.

Nice story. Good for a solo road trip. Characters relatable. The husband and wife were a good mix of opposites.

I loved the story so much ! As a mom who traveled a lot for work when my son was small, I related to it in so many ways.
I don't feel the need to swear as a rule, so I find it distracting in an audible book (I guess I can "ignore" it easier when I am reading a book , but I enjoyed the story enough that I had to push past it.
Some of the story was touching, some was funny, a lot of it was very interesting and informative, and most of it was absolutely hilarious!

The narrator annoyed me at first, but her voice grew on me as the book commenced. I wound up enjoying her narration quite a bit after a few chapters.

If this story is your cup of tea (or coffee in this case), you really can't go wrong with this Audible book.

This is one of the better audiobooks I have listened to.

The main character in this book couldn't have been any better; funny, funny, and funniest. Interesting story with quite an unpredictable end. Would definitely recommend.

Very entertaining!

Fours left and I just can’t listen to this woman whine any longer. If you like listening about someone who can’t take responsibility for her life or her childrens help yourself.

Just can’t finish
