Publisher's summary

Bree has just decided to give up trying to be a Shifter groupie when a lion Shifter slams into her truck and tells her to drive. Seamus is on the run from hunters, other Shifters, and who knows who else. All Bree knows is that he's compelling, needs her help, and most intriguing of all, wears no Collar.

Seamus McGuire fears he has gone crazy - feral - and become a killer. His only hope of getting away from the hunters and police on his tail is Bree, a human woman who not only knows a lot about Shifters but has great compassion for them.

Things are more complicated than they seem, though. Seamus is on a mission - to protect those in his care after the destruction of Kendrick's compound of un-Collared Shifters. Seamus must keep it together and make sure his charges stay hidden, but at the same time, he's pulled to Bree as he's never been pulled to a woman before. He needs to prove he's innocent and not crazy before it's too late for himself, Bree, and those he's vowed to protect.

The lion sleeps tonight...well, not really!

We pick up where the last story left off and find out what happened with a few of the free shifters from the Kendrick compound that was raided in the Mate Bond book, (I think). This story is about Seamus who is the shifter that is on the run with a small cub, and tells us what he does to protect those put in his charge. We also meet Bree, who is a shifter want-to-be groupie, and how she help's Seamus deal with being on the run. Seamus also turns out to be a distant cousin to the Morrissey clan/pack of Austin Tx. I like the story because you again see and hear from old favorites as well as see how the shifters come together to protect their own. Always love to hear about the younger cubs and how they are growing up within the group. The story line is straight to the point and set's you up for the next chapter in the Shifter Unbound series.

This was my first time hearing David Brenin, and I think he did a fair job. So all in all, yeah, I think it was worth the credit. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Good one

I’ll tell you, I’m so vested in this series I had tears in my eyes when the feral shifter was killed. I really like Ms Ashley’s take on shifter mates ( the touch of a mate). It’s the first time seeing it used that way and I’ve read a lot of shifter stories. Good job

Wonderful

This story was great. The love story was very touching. I found myself weeping and swelling with love and joy. I love how well the author is able to subtly intertwine the storyline throughout the series.

book review

I'm not a huge fan of the guy who read the book. I liked the women who started the series better!

Great story!

I love the entire 'Shifters Unbound' series but, at this point, I can't decide any more which is my favorite story. They are all so amazing and Lion Eyes is no different. I loved reading about Bree, with her strength, and Seamus, with his broodiness. I love that there is a new kind of shifter in town and that another bond has been made. I can't wait for more from these amazing and unique shifters. Well done to the author. I'm off to read Broderick's story, Bad Wolf, now.

A great addition!

I have to say.... this was full of surprises. It was intense and fast paced right from the start. Talk about starting with a bang. Haha

Seamus and Bree are a great couple of characters. I think they’re a great addition to the shifters in the shifter towns we’ve all grown to love.
