About this listen

Sometimes what haunts you is not a ghost.

They're not alone in the house. With a baby on the way and a brand new house, it seems Ginny and her husband, Sean, are on their way to a fresh start. But strange occurrences and financial strain seem determined to keep the couple stuck in the past. Ginny begins to believe the house may be haunted...or that her husband might be trying to trick her into thinking so. As Ginny researches the house's former owner and the tragedy that happened there, it becomes clearer than ever that something is in the house with them. The question is, who...or what...is it?

Intense and Gripping!

Megan Hart is a new author to me, whereas Tanya Eby has been a favorite narrator of mine. This book pulled me and had me hooked. I never saw the ending coming. I was blown away with the twists. I found this book to be totally original and really enjoyed it. Tanya Eby was able to put so much emotion into the book that one would not get just reading the pages. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and or publisher. I do not like to give away spoilers in a book review, but I was surprised with it. I will definitely look for more books by this author and narrator in the future.

Surprising twist!!

This book was a wonderful listen in the life of Ginny and Sean and their new house. However Ginny starts having things happen to her in the house and you wonder what could be going on. As a listener you might have an idea of what is going on but let me tell you there is a twist at the end that is very surprising! I enjoyed the the narrator for this book. She was able to narrate all the characters with the emotion needed to separate all their different voices.

I definitely will be looking for more from both author and narrator!

Great twist! Loved the story!

Any additional comments?

I loved this story! I did not see the twist coming at all! The book did take awhile to really get going, but that was OK after you realize you need all the small details for everything to make sense at the end. I didn't care much for the main character - she seemed a bit ungrateful. But other than that, it was a well written book!
