After receiving the gift, LeAnn and her best friend board a cruise ship for destinations unknown. The mystery vacation may take her somewhere she's not ready to go, but she must face it when her second chance takes center stage.

Will LeAnn find her way back to her old, happy, adventurous self? Will she discover she's once again living?

Back to the living

A range of emotions are felt in this book. When tragedy occurs, it is hard for LeeAnn to pick up her life and move on. Being married to her soulmate and having him taken away is just too much. Four years later, and only 27 years old, she is attempting to move on. Going on a cruise with her best friend proves to be the catalyst she needs. Meeting Brandon, an exotic dancer and ship employee, she finds that coming to terms with her past and finding love could be the answer she is looking for. But is it that easy? There are a few plot twists in this story that are not expected. Miscommunications, meeting of people from her past, trying to put things in perspective may turn this story around.

Charley Ongel is the voice of LeeAnn, and gives her such heart wrenching emotion that you can feel her pain and confusion when trying to come back to her life. Tor Thom as Brandon gives the hot, sexy man with incredible patience and understanding the expression to make you fall in love with him. This book is full of emotional pull, hot sex and good fun. A satisfying listen if you are looking for a little of everything!

Raw and inspired

This audio was more than I expected. It was a quick listen and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tragedy turns into a love story. The process is well written and very well developed. I did tear up a few times but I also laughed out loud. It was definitely a roller coaster but one that made this listen that much more powerful. The duel narration was key. Charlie Ongel’s was spot on as LeAnn. The nuances and fluctuations of her voice as she relived the past had me completely immersed. Tor Thom was his usual hot sexy self however this audio also showed a softer side of his tone and range that was raw and intimate that I really enjoyed. Both narrators were perfect for this Audio and I would definitely recommend it.

Living a second chance love story

This is my first Elaine Marie's book. Loving is a second chance love story, emotional, funny and steamy. The duet narration is as good as always with Charley Ongel and Tor Thom. Overall, this is a good reading/listening.

Living and Loving after Death

I loved how this author turned heartbreak into passion, pleasure and love. Elaine Marie wove an intense story that had heartbreak into something beautiful with letting go and learning to love again and forgive in the same process, and others had healing as well. I was astounded by how wonderful the performance of Tor Thom and Charley Ongel was. They were able to give many characters their own distinguishable voices and put so much emotion into it as well. I loved the imagery in this book and found the story to be original. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrators. Time well spent. I will definitely take away some key things from the book like living.

Is it really better to have loved and lost?

LeAnn has loved and lost and can't get over the survivor's guilt. 3yrs ago, her husband was killed in a car accident because he unbuckled his seat belt to cover her with his body. LeAnn has been existing ever since, not really caring about anything. Finally, her MIL finds her at the cemetery and begs her to move on, telling her that Logan (hubby) would not want her to be just existing but living her life to the fullest. LeAnn sees a flyer for a cruise and decides to take the trip. Her bff, Josie, accompanies her...Josie is a bit of a wild child...can she get LeAnn to finally let go and live? Brandon is a performer on the cruise ship and literally bumps into LeAnn as they are boarding. There is instant chemistry between these two...will anything come of it? Meanwhile, the bartender, Dillon, has a huge secret that affects LeAnn...will he come clean. Will LeAnn get her groove back on this cruise? There is some drama and misunderstanding but eventually an HEA. Great job by the narrators...kept me interested in the story.
