About this listen

Experience all the feels in this unforgettable second-chance standalone romance from number-one New York Times best-seller Lauren Blakely!

I didn't break her heart, and she didn't break mine - we broke each other's.

I never stopped loving her, but time and distance played its cruel role in ripping us apart three years ago when she moved halfway around the world. Now after all those endless miles away, she's returned...but I'm not the guy I was before.

Beautiful, kind, and loving, she's the same - my hope. The only one who can make a day better, who can make me feel again with one kiss, one touch, one night.

There's so much I have to put back in place now that I’m alone and on my own. Things I never wanted at the age of 25. When I receive an unexpected letter that might hold the clues to everything I desperately need to understand about my family, I'm sure I have to follow it. But that means leaving her once more.

She says she'll come with me, and having her by my side will unbreak my heart...or destroy it.

That's the chance I have to take.

Unforgettable!!

Unbreak My Heart was and wasn’t what I expected, but was amazing. This book was so emotional and absolutely broke my heart. Andrew’s story was not easy. He suffered so much loss in his life that he was on the verge of breaking. But his loss was a journey that led him to see the power of love and friendship. This story had me crying my eyes out both tears of sadness and joy. This is a beautiful unforgettable story!

The narrators did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Listening made all the emotions even more real!

A journey of love

I haven't cried that much in years! I hate crying! Loved the journey. Tissue required.

You could feel the sadness in Joe Arden’s voice

I know Lauren Blakely books will be wonderful but this narration really made this book sing for me.I felt I knew the characters (living and gone) because of the narrators. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Story and Narration

This may not be the typical contemporary romance that Lauren Blakely is known for but it's still one of her best. This book seemed to have a lot more somber moments than sexy but somehow it all works.

Enjoyed this one!

Really enjoyed this book. The story was captivating, beautiful, full of all the feels (your heart may hurt a few times), and had a few surprises along the way. The narration was excellent. I’m not normally a Joe Arden fan (he’s alright, just not on my list of favorites), but I have to admit he gave an excellent performance in this one. There is one seriously emotional part of the story where he absolutely nailed the moment and conveyed the character’s feelings brilliantly. This book is definitely the best narration from him that I’ve heard so far. Erin Mallon was good, as usual. I’d recommend giving this one a listen.

All Heart!

5 Crazy Ass Must Listen Stars!!!!!

I loved this book already having just read it a few days ago but the dual narration of Joe Arden and Erin Mallon just brought it to a new level. I still cried, swooned and laughed only I did it a little harder than before. Joe and Erin brought all of the characters to life and made the story more real for me. It didn't matter that I already knew what was going to happen. I just got lost in the story that Joe and Erin told. They gave it more heart and the feels were felt that much more.

Below is my original review after reading:

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!

I went into this blind so I didn't really know what to expect. I just know I didn't expect this story. Everything I've read by Lauren Blakely has been a rom-com of sorts so I was expecting this to be along those lines. Despite my expectations, this book was amazing in and of itself. I loved the versatility Lauren Blakely has shown me here and that has just entrenched her more on my faves list.

This book was all heart. Heart-wrenching, heart-breaking, heart-warming, and heart-healing. I cried, swooned, and there were even times that I laughed.

Lauren Blakely did an amazingly, fantastic job with this book. I so look forward to reading what she comes out with next.

Not My cup of tea but good story

Way too depressing for romance. This was a well written story about a young man going through those last few stages of grief while at the same time trying to deal with the love of his life re-emerging on the scene. Personally, I felt that the one and only all-way fully detailed love scene (not to say there were not brief mentions) was not enough. Although, I know for some listeners they'll love the one scene as being just enough. All in all, it was a good but depressing story and if you're going through a rough patch misery loves company but if you're looking for some great lovin scenes and a light-hearted storyline look elsewhere.

4 Unbreak My Heart Stars!

An emotionally breathtaking read that captures heartbreak, despair, loss, healing, love and second chances in an utter raw manner!!! Unbreak My Heart is the epitome of a second chance romance that will touch and speak to you. It will break your heart but slowly Lauren Blakely puts the pieces back together.

In the audiobook, the narrators did a wonderful job showcasing Andrew in a raw manner. Readers could feel the raw emotions being evoked as Andrew tries to piece back together his life. Blakely is usually known for her romantic and light stories, but Unbreak My Heart showcases her prowess as a writer with her ability to tug all the right heartstrings. Definitely, this is one unforgettable romance done right as it focuses on life, healing, hope, and second chances. A must read for 2018!!

Beautiful and Emotional Love Story

This was probably one of the most emotional books I’ve read from Lauren Blakely. She’s hitting you with all the feels. Andrew and Holland’s story was chock full of emotion and angst. I just wanted to wrap Andrew in a cocoon of love and warmth and never let go. I love the way Holland wanted the best for him even if that meant letting him go. This was beautifully done second chance. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon were absolutely superb!

Honestly heartbreaking

The performance was superb. The characters were totally relatable, to an extent. I wish I would have been able to get to know the non-main characters better, because the storyline was a bit heartbreaking. This was a different side of LB’s writing that I hadn’t seen, but was written well. I just personally found the dark parts a bit overwhelming and overshadowing the overall story (probably the intent, so kudos LB).
