This book is for everyone

Inspiring, engaging, and well-paced, this book is important for anyone who knows someone with cancer. But, really, it's for everyone. It illustrates the relationship between a loving father and his family, lays out the thoughtful and broad-ranging advice he wants to leave for his children, and opens the door to what it is like to be a cancer patient. As a scientist myself, I appreciate that he summarizes some of the science behind his cancer and its treatment, doing so in a manner that is both clear and engaging. Acknowledging that I know the author, I loved hearing him read the book. It is amazing to hear him address the cancer, whose final chapter is not yet written, in such a level-headed way, making the times when emotion seeps through all the more poignant. Although I only recently finished it, I have already purchased two more copies as gifts. The book is hard to put down and is well worth the read.

Real

Jeff’s book brought so many messages into my mind. His story is real. Cancer is real. I was intrigued the entire time with hearing his experience medically, his emotions personally and his knowledge professionally, as well as his wisdom. It’s a great story of reflection and is relatable even if cancer isn’t touching your life.
