Lord of Devil Isle

The perfect cover with the perfect intro music sets the stage for a very sexy Pirate rescue adventure romance. An unexpected future coming from a difficult but unexpected past. I'd give 5 Stars for this fabulous story with 5 Stars for a touching narration by Marian Hussey. 💗

I didn’t like it

I think what made me dislike this book was the overbearing attitude for women from Nick. It made me feel like he was forcing himself on her. She would say no and he would persist. Most books I can stay in the story but this one made me put it down numerous times. I didn’t want to finish it. But maybe that’s the reaction of the story that was meant to happen.

Good!

This is my first time listening to Marian Hussey the narrator. It took several chapters to get used to her. But I've always been a big fan of Connie Mason's books. This one starts off with an erotic love scene between the hero and his mistress. If u don't like explicit sex scenes then u don't want to listen to this audio book. This was a fun book to listen to.

Pretty Good

I would say that the plot was good but the character of Nick made me angry. That's good because it generated an emotion from me. Nick does show a soft side but you had to wait until is showed up in the book. The position that Eve was in is characteristic of the time period and her character at times was a little weak for me. Overall I was satisfied. Marian Hussey is pretty good as a narrator.

Good I guess

There were some parts I really liked about this book but I think there were more things I didn’t like. All in all it’s not bad but given what I know now I wouldn’t have wasted the credit. There are a few sex scenes which is a plus but found myself a little confused a couple times even during the sex scenes. She angered me at times and I felt there should’ve been things that could have been communicated. There wasn’t a lot of love building either.

Entertaining story with wonderful narration

I found this to be an interesting story. I loved the atmosphere of Bermuda and on the sea. Eve had a secret and horrible past, yet she seemed so innocent. Nick was generous and kind with his crew and friends, and he saw only the good in Eve once he got past her prickly side. I also enjoyed the secondary characters supporting both Eve and Nick. It was fun.

The narration by Marian Hussey was well done. Her range of voices was very entertaining, and I enjoyed her emotional range.

This is my unsolicited review.
