Fabulous!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

absolutely recommend this audiobook
Jessica Mann is a new to me narrator and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her.
She created magic and brought the story to life. I loved her animated voice and the addition of giving each person a different sound , she added emotion to the story and characters ... sighing and laughing and adding anguish in places where other narrators do not do.
She truly brought this story to life, it was like listening to a play... I will definitely listen to more of her work

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lost?

I really enjoyed a part near the end of the book ... Jessica Mann truly brought the emotions in the part to life ... I could feel the anguish and pain

Have you listened to any of Jessica Mann’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't ... this was my first

Enjoyable read

This was a promo, and it has no bearing on my volentary review. I did not like Cinderella at first, she annoyed me. By the end however I was enchanted by her character. I recommend you enjoy this story.

Sad tale.

I have had the opportunity to read and listen to the first book of the Cinderella’s Secret Witch Diaries. When I picked up the book back in 2018 I just wanted to see the author take on the after the fairy tale romance. What I got was one splendid fantasy. Cinderella is facing the destruction of her fairy tale it was so sad to read but I like how the author played it out. I have book two now to listen too also so I am looking forward to seeing how the tale progresses. High praise for the narrator she did an excellent job!

Looking forward to the time to finish the story

There is so little time in my life right now, but I am enjoying this book/story. Audio books are something of a novelty to me, so I'm still learning how best to utilize this format. I am enjoying the narration and look forward to finding out more about the characters.

A fun listen, but don't bring your red pen.

The story had a good, if far fetched (although that's the fun) premise, but I think the author should have chosen to keep the story set in an imaginary place and time--this would have made some of the mistakes with custom and speech non-issues.
The narrator did well distinguishing between different characters, but minor mispronunciations threw things off occasionally.

Enjoyable re-imagining of Cinderella

Any additional comments?

I received a free audio copy from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I've mentioned before, but I'm a sucker for re-tellings or different spins on fairy tales and shakespeare. And this was no exception. This is a slight re-telling and different spin on the story of Cinderella. And it was highly enjoyable. I should also mention that I own this book in kindle format as well.

I really enjoyed the narration for this book. The author (or his publisher) chose a voice that was even but not monotonous. Which is always great. Especially for long books like this one was.

I enjoyed the idea of pulling out bits of fae lore to be used in this book. It gave it that nice spin.

Overall it was an enjoyable book that I'd recommend to other lovers of fairy tales and re-imaginings of them.

Conderellas secret witch Diaries

This is a fantastic read od Cinderellas Diary. The stories in this Diary are written so well. That I felt like the Characters personality jumps right off the page. It kept me captivated from the first page to the last. I definitely recommend.

Ehh...

I tried really hard to get into this book. I liked the idea of it, and I really wanted to like it. I'm not sure if it's the format, or the story itself, but it was just boring to me. I'd find myself spaced out and thinking about what I was going to make for dinner instead of listening to the story. The narration was decent, though. I like the girls voice and it was the only thing I did like.

Reading was better than listening

I really like Mr. Vitale's books, even if the language can feel a bit stilted at times. He has a very unique and interesting vision. I just had a lot of trouble getting into this as an audio book. The narration is clear and easy to understand, but some mispronunciations bothered me and the main character just sounded too young to me. The difference in age between what I had in my own head (when I read the ebook) and what I heard here gave the story an entirely different flavor that I didn't care for. That being said, pick up this book! It's a great new take on an old classic. I just love reimaginings of fairy tales!
