About this listen

Who the f--k gave Slade Cruz this kind of power over me?

I don’t know how it happened. One minute he was the guy I loathed, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up beside him desperate to get out of there.

When secrets are revealed, Slade and I realize that we are more connected than we could have ever known. Not only are we learning that our hearts beat as one, but we now share a common enemy who neither of us could have foreseen.

I’m quickly learning that Lucien Valentine isn’t only the monster in my storybook, but makes appearances in many. He needs to be stopped, but this war is bigger than just me, and I don’t think I have what it takes to fight it.

Betrayals bite hard as secrets are revealed. Hearts are put on the line, and just when you thought you had it all, the devil shows up on your door. This time he might take more than you could possibly give, and it might just cost you your life.

Hold onto your seats because Aston Creek is about to enter a war it never saw coming.

Secrets are revealed

Lost Girl is an exciting continuation to the Aston Creek High series. It is not a standalone so Ugly Girls must be listened to before listening to this book. Lots of secrets are revealed. Relationships are destroyed while new ones are made. There are so many twists and turns. So much happens that will leave you reeling and begging for more in the next book. I can't wait to see where this story takes us in book 3 of this series. Stefanie Kay did an excellent job bringing most of this story to life while Nathaniel Gray narrated a few chapters from Slade's point of view so hopefully we'll hear more from him in the next book.

Entertaining!

This is the second book in the Aston Creek High series, a Dark Bully Romance. I love this series! This second installment is entertaining, filled with drama, danger, mystery, angst, and twists and turns. The story ends with a cliffhanger. Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray did an excellent job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Wild Girl, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Great continuation

Book #2 in the Aston Creek High series was a great continuation. Secrets are revealed. Many twists and jaw dropping moments that had me on the edge of my seat. Slade and Sky’s chemistry was explosive and I enjoyed every minute of their banter. Constant drama and action with this group of high school students. The cliffhanger ending had me yelling at my kindle. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray did a really good job portraying these characters.

DYING for book 3!!

Upon finishing book 1, the only thing I could do was immediately start book 2—I’m hooked bad and dying for book 3 as I write this. (Always with this author, who has quickly become a fave.)

This series has a tight hold on me and I couldn’t put this book down—the only reason I didn’t read it in one sitting is because there was a hiccup with the audio production and I had to wait for Audible to allow me to download the updated version. (So it was 2 sittings.)

Suspense.
Action.
Violence.
High school bullying.
Sooo much drama, lies, scandal, betrayal, etc.
Lots of talk of … ‘grape’ and ‘grape’ survivors.
Trafficking.
Small town vibes.
K!dnapping.
Pranks (and not the same tired ones I seem to read in everything).
A VERY determined antagonist.
Strong family ties in a ‘found family’.

4 stars.

Audio:
Once I got the updated version, the audio was fantastic. I had to wait a while and go through a lot of uninstalling / reinstalling the app to get there, very frustrating but got there eventually!

Couldn’t stop listening!

I devoured this audiobook, I couldn’t get enough! I loved seeing Slade and Skyla’s love blossom. They tried to deny it and not be a couple but they couldn’t help their chemistry and Slade broke her down hahaha. I loved seeing how romantics and swoon worthy he was, esp after how he treated and misjudged her in book 1. Even just them hanging out on the court and her drawing made my heart happy. OH and the steam, these two are fire. I also love that Slade’s mom doesnt chastise her for sneaking out of her house hahaha.

This author does an incredible job with the two main characters but I always know she will bring I with the side characters even more. Blake....oh Blake. Their relationship is special, reminds me of how my brother and I used to be. I couldn’t stop laughing with the Your Majesty bit hahaha. I really am liking Nessa and so glad the two of them got over the issues between them and have a great friendship growing. Especially with crazy stalker former bestie showing up and ruining everyone’s day. The mother figures in this one were amazing too. The courage both had to have to do what they did, with horrible circumstances, just made me fall for this world even more. Daniella doesnt handle some truths in the best/it comes out in a dramatic and painfilled fashion, but things work out in the even thank goodness. The sisters are so cute was well! Oh and Ben is a disgrace, I didnt see that coming. I knew something was up with his constant drinking but didnt know it was because of that. Nice twist by the author! OOOOOH and the baddie, like I cannot wait to see his downfall after what he has put everyone through, he deserves a nice bowl of karmic justice. Especially the stressful ending/cliffhanger. Thank goodness book 3 just released on audio so I jumped right in and didnt have to wait haha. And one more thing...I so ship Nessa and Damien 😍 I hope we get to see more of them or we get some bonus scenes about their love story!

Narration was good in this one, I thought better than book 1. I did enjoy having some POV chapters from Slade, that was a nice addition. The emotion when the two broke up for bit was tough to listen to, and then the panic, fear, and dread at the end was breaking my heart. Well done by both, I thought the female narrator really dug into the characters and did an even better job bringing them to life. The love between the two characters, the family they are making with their loved ones, just was done so well and again was surprised by the levity in this one too. No complaints from me!

Definitely recommend this series, I am already an hour into book 3’s audio BUT I didnt realize it was a 4 book series so I hope book 4 isn’t going to be too far in the future because I am gonna be itching to listen to it once I am done book 3 this weekend haha.

Lost Girl

Lost Girl is the second book in the Ashton Creek High series. These books need to be read in order, as this book starts off right where book one ends.

This book is the continuation of Skylah and Slade's story. So much has happened to Skylah in her life, and Lucian is still after her. Secrets come out about Slade and more about Skylah's past.

Skylah and Slade both go through so much in this book. I loved their banter, their back and forth, and their happy moments too. Skylah has to go through changes with her brother, and people she considered friends as well.

When Lucian shows back up can Skylah and Slade get by his evil ways?

I loved this book, and couldn't stop listening. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

A Dark High School Romance

Lost Girl by Sheridan Anne is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray. This is the second book in the Aston Creek High series.

I absolutely love Sheridan's books! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed getting Skylah and Slade's points of views throughout the book. I do have to say Sheridan does an amazing job on cliffhangers that leave you begging for more.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Wild Girl to be released on audio on October 30, 2023.

Stefanie and Nathaniel did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, bully romances, high school romances, or romantic suspense.

Lies and Drama for Virago ❤️‍🔥

I would give this book 4.6 stars. I liked book 1, but this book was so much better. In book 1, Slade and Skylah had the whole hate and pranks going for them. In book 2 they have both come to accept their feelings, it's not hate! So, so, so many secrets were spilled in this book 😳! Honestly, I think all the secrets were also bad! I don't remember that much happening in the 1st book. I love that Slade calls Skylah Virago. I had never had that term before but it is very fitting for Skylah. Prepare yourself now, this book ends on a HUGE cliffhanger! You will not be happy with the ending but you won't be disappointed in this book!

lost girl

Sheridan Anne writes what she does best ,bully romances. And this doesn't disappoint.
This is the second story in this series. High school drama, bullying.
Danger, suspense, angst and a mind blowing cliffy that had me wanting to know, what is going to happen next.
Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray narration is very good. I look forward to more by these performers.

Love this series

I’m done! Ruined! Nope, no coming back from this!!!

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL!

Sheridan has once again ruined me. At this point I don’t even know why I’m surprised. From beginning to end this book had be captivated. Drawn in to the world of a girl who is “boss b*tch” because she proves time and again she can survive anything.

Full of drama, heartache, anticipation, suspense, steam, swoon, humour and everything in between, there is nothing this book does not make you experience. And you will love every minute of it, even when you don’t.

Truly a book and series that tests you emotionally as this deals with real and sensitive issues such as rape and murder. Such a well written book with well developed characters, plot and excellent world building.

If this book doesn’t entrance you I don’t know what will.
Definitely dive into this book you will not regret it!

The narrators did a good job. It’s taken me a bit to get used to the female narrators voice and her timings were a bit questionable here and there in my opinion but other wise they did a good job.

Warning ⚠️ ends on a cliffhanger. So if that’s a trigger, well I warned you.
