About this listen

Danielle

What's that saying? When life hands you lemons...

What if I don't want to make lemonade? What if I want to pummel them into non-existence? Anything is better than admitting how desperately I want a taste of that sweet lemonade.

That's exactly how I felt when my college assignment threw me in the direction of Miller Cain.

My body screams for him while my brain warns me to run for the hills.

He's the captain of the ice hockey team with a cocky reputation. He's a sweet talker and the bad boy promising me the ride of my life.

Miller Cain is bad for my health.

I just need to last one year without falling into his bed.

Should be easy, right?

Miller

She came crashing into my world like a tornado.

Sexy as hell, an absolute firecracker with deadly green eyes.

I want her. In fact, I need her, and I'll do whatever it takes to make her mine.

Not Your Pucking Girl is a new adult college sports romance with a HEA. Intended for mature listeners.

This was a good hockey romance, good characters, good spice, good storyline BUT it could've used 3 or 4 more hours of depth (at least a couple hundred more pages of writing), it was fairly shallow and rushed and could've gone really deep and meaningful, MORE character and storyline development... I wanted more. But that's a good thing I suppose, saying I wanted more. I can tell I'll like the series but they are all around the same length so I assume they're all going to be short and sweet without a ton of depth. My favorite hockey romance novels range at least 12 hours in average, this will be my 17th hockey book I've read in 2023, so I've got alot to compare against. SA is a favorite author of mine so I could've used a bit "more" to THIS story. Wish the series was sold as a set. THAT would be more valuable. Still, good hockey romance.

Cute but needed more depth

There were several scenes that did nothing to further the story. There was also a lot of telling what happened instead of showing. Narrators were ok, the female always sounded mischievous which was a little annoying at times. The story had promise but just wasn’t executed as well as it could have been.

Too long

This was ok. The story was there but it probably could’ve been fleshed out a little more, especially the pain that Miller went through. This reader wasn’t given enough time to care about what happened so it was an unemotional part of the story.

It also would’ve been nice if Jared wasn’t dropped at the end of Dani’s plot twist. What happened to him?

The ending & epilogue were so fast you don’t get a complete picture of where they all ended up in their lives other than HEA.

All in all this was a good one to listen to but the ending fell flat.

The narrator for Miller was fine but sounded too old.

This book had a little bit of everything and I loved every part of it. Miller not giving up on trying to get a date with Dani was hilarious and the love and protection they give one another was so beautiful!

The love Miller and Dani have for one another!

The story was alright. It had a lot of juicy drama that made you want to keep listening. But truthfully I didn’t like the voices of the narrators; I felt like they didn’t match the characters. And the thing I hated the most was the use of the word c**t, I have no issue with calling someone that word but the overuse of it during the sexy scenes was just off putting for me.

Soooo much DRAMA!!

Not my normal listening type. Very sweet, everyday style story with some pretty decent smut but nothing over the top. I didn’t find it boring though, too my surprise.

Sweet story

Enjoyed this book more than I realized. I put it on to listen to while I painted and wound up crying at least twice! Worth the listen. Looking forward to more!

Didn’t know I’d need tissues

For a cinnamon roll sports romance, I really enjoyed the twists and turns, even the predictable ones. The story line was good, and the characters had great development. It was a non stop listen! would recommend.

Good twists

Totally not what I expected. I loved the plot line and the way the story unfolded with a few twists I definitely wasn't expecting. The audio just make it that much better! SOOOO GOOD!

Loved the Story line
