About this listen

From USA Today best-selling Author Nikki Ash comes a stand-alone romance about two single parents who find love where they least expect it.

Hudson: Since I lost my wife, my life has consisted of being a single dad to two crazy kids and playing professional football, leaving me with no room for anything or anyone else.

Until the moment I met Sawyer.

Something about her feels right, and I know it’s more than just chemistry. She’s a game changer. My second chance at love.

I want all of her days, her nights, and everything in between. But our time together is limited, and come Saturday, she’s going to leave, taking my heart right along with her.

Sawyer: I wasn’t looking for love, but that didn’t stop it from finding me. All it took was six days to fall head over heels for a complete stranger and his adorable children. Nothing has ever felt so right.

But as a single mom, it’s not just about what I want. We live more than a thousand miles apart, and I know all too well that long-distance love always ends in heartache. Hudson’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a man, and I know it would be easy to create a life with him and our kids.

Which is why it’s going to be so hard to say good-bye....

stand alone sweet and steamy

Oh, what a sweet and steamy romance that was just the perfect escape! A well written and beautifully narrated romance that is sure to warm your heart. Dual narration by Evans and Gallagher was perfect to bring our main characters of Sawyer and Hudson to life. I love the meet up and that they are both single parents. I adore the kids and how wonderful they are portrayed. Just the right amount of angst and all the sweet romance and steamy chemistry you could want! A shorter listen but still has all the depth you could want - you really get a sense of these characters and who they are, the struggles they face now and in the past who have made them who they are. A beautiful story of broken hearts finding and making a way for love again! I absolutely loved every minute of it!

So cute!

Nikki Ash is fast becoming an auto-read/buy author! This is my second book by her, and she hit it out of the park again. I’m not usually a fan of instalove, but the way What Love Looks Like played out wasn’t overly obsessive and unrealistic. I loved the easy flow of the romance in the story and the way two completely different world collided. I also enjoyed the blended family aspect. It was such a beautiful story! And the narrators, Lexi Evans and Michael Gallagher, performed their character so well and with such passion. Amazing job 👏

Loved this soooo much! ❤️

I loved this single parent romance so much!  Hudson and Sawyer meet up at the bar when they are on vacation and Sawyer doesn’t know he’s a football star and neither know they each have kids.  They really hit it off and I just fell in love with Hudson because he is so sweet!  Hudson’s kids stick up for Sawyer’s daughter in camp the next day and the parents are called to camp and they meet up again and it is so adorable to see how much the kids like each other.  Hudson and Sawyer fell for each other and their kids pretty quickly, but Sawyer never wanted to fall for anyone famous again because of her horrible ex-boyfriend.  She didn’t want to be with someone famous who had to travel and not be around for her and had women falling all over him.  Hunter and his kids wanted Sawyer and her daughter in their lives.  Hunter had never met anyone he had wanted to be with since he lost his wife until he met Sawyer.  It was a beautiful love story and there was very little angst as they decide to try and make things work long distance.  Hudson was a true romantic and treated Sawyer and the kids with lots of love.  I loved all characters in this book and can see myself listening to this book again.  Would recommend this audiobook to everyone!  The narrators were superb!  Their voices for all the characters were great and I especially enjoyed their kid voices.  They made the story very enjoyable to listen to!

Very sweet.

When I see this author’s name and I’m in … which means I went into this one completely blind / with no expectations and it still hooked me right away, thanks to a very spirited narrator and great vibes.

He’s a big star, and she sorta finds herself into him before realizing that … a problem for a girl with a ‘no famous people’ rule.

Overall, a quick, super sweet read.

Single Parent Vacation Romance

What Love Looks Like by Nikki Ash is a single parent vacation romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lexi Evans and Michael Gallagher.

I absolutely love Nikki's books! She always gives me all the feels with each of her books. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Hudson and Sawyer. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Michael and Lexi did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, single parent romances, or vacation romances.

Single Parent

Single Parent trope is one of my favorite romance books to read. And this one did not disappoint. It's a sweet quick read. I loved Hudson and Sawyer. The chemistry and the way the relationship developed was perfect.

I got this on audio, the narration was really well done. Really enjoyed it.

Can't go wrong with Nikki Ash

Nikki is a one click author for me. She does single parent trope like no one else.
This is a quick listen at a little over 4 hours with dual narration.

This story has Sawyer and Hudson meeting while on vacation, and both are surprised to learn they are both single parents. There is some angst as Sawyer is adamant she doesn't want to be in a relationship with a famous person who travels, and Hudson is in the NFL. These two have to work through many challenges including long distance.
The children, I have to say, steal the show. They are so well written and realistic to their age groups.
