Publisher's summary

She survived Earth's worst global pandemic. In the city she learned how to cope with the roaming dead. Tucked away in the mountains she struck down the living who tried to kill her. Now Riley fights a new battle - the one within herself. Wracked with survivor's guilt and an almost crazed sense of duty that takes her out of the solitude of the Southern California mountains and into the heart of Orange County, she makes a series of choices that can lead to the destruction of everything she's managed to save.

In the end, will it all be worth it? What will be lost? What will be found? And which questions will be left unanswered?

Full gambit of emotions

Riley's adventure in her new world continue and the story does not disappoint, but takes the reader through ups and downs of love, joy, terror, sorrow, hatred and revenge. At one point I was furious at the author for the sudden absence of a character, but even that was satisfactorily resolved at the end . . . Or at least room is left for a good resolution in the next installment. Another good one, Trish!

A gripping, emotional, sometimes funny adventure

After reading the first book "I hope you find me", I couldn't wait to revisit the characters I had grown to adore. And while Rylie still makes some pretty irrational choices, it shows the care that was put into developing this main character. She's broken, lost, guilt ridden and afraid. But, she's also strong and smart and has a will to live, not just for herself, but for her family, the melting pot of strangers that had all come together out of need, and finding more than they expected.
Riley, has a huge guilty burden weighing her down, and the ghosts of her past, haunting her dreams. She, Connor and Chris set out to find Mariah, the woman they had turned out after the fire, and the deaths of Matt and Finn. Not knowing where else to go, other than towards L.A., the trio wind their way down highways, trails, freeways and down the streets of cities. Disaster strikes tearing the trio apart. Riley is separated from the others, only to find herself in the care of a lone man, who has a mission.
Rylie not only helps him, but finds a new side of herself, one she doesn't know if she likes.
My heart broke a little in a couple of the scenes, and I am left hoping that the missing member will find their way back to the family.
I am very eager to learn more about the lone man, Drake, who had saved Rylie. He is a very closed book, but something tells me that his story will be one worth hearing.

I Absolutely Love This Book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would recommend this book to a friend. I received this audiobook free in exchange for an unbiased review and I liked it so much I will purchase the first in the series and listen to it again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lost and Found?

The whole book was exciting. I'm a horse person and all their adventures during the journey on horseback were so well detailed. I like Riley, she's funny, serious, soft, and sometimes hard.

Which scene was your favorite?

Whenever they set out on their journey AND Conner. The one thing I'm missing that I want to get is the first installment of this book. It was an amazing book on its own but now I must read the first book 'I Hope You Find Me'. It was so good that I want to listen to the first one now.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

'Coming Home' or 'Found and Coming Home'.

Any additional comments?

Trish Marie Dawson is a wonderful author and I love the narration by Erin Spencer. She has a perfect voice. Very easy to listen to and can't wait to hear more! She is now one of my favorite narrators.

Wow! Get comfortable. You won't put it down.

If you could sum up Lost and Found in three words, what would they be?

I want MORE!

What did you like best about this story?

I felt like I was there with each of the characters and feeling all of their emotions. The story definitely pulls at your heartstrings.

Which character – as performed by Erin Spencer – was your favorite?

Riley - she is such a strong character. I couldn't imagine ever having to go through what she had to endure, but the character knows she doesn't have a choice, so she makes the best of it and gives it all of her heart and soul. But she wasn't the only one I connected with. Drake, Kris, Winchester, Finn and of course the yummy Conner all felt like family from the moment I started this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Oh, God! I can't really think of a part of the book that didn't move me. From beginning to the very end I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. I was bawling like a baby by the end. Such an awesome read.

Any additional comments?

5 well deserved stars from me! =D

Book 2

What made the experience of listening to Lost and Found the most enjoyable?

A follow upl to book one I Hope You Find Me picks up several weeks after the cataclysmic events which closed the first book. Riley is slowly recovering from her injuries and trying to overcome the trauma she suffered both physically and mentally.

Great followup!

What did you love best about Lost and Found?

I love the entire storyline in this book. It has a little useless fodder, but it doesn't take away from the great plot.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Riley the best. She's a strong woman and doesn't back down from anyone or anything. She's a fighter.

Which character – as performed by Erin Spencer – was your favorite?

Again, I have to go with Riley. Her voice fit the part perfectly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I admit, I got a little freaked out when the ghost of Fin appeared. I really wasn't expecting it.

Any additional comments?

Another great book by a great author. I look forward to reading more from her.

Ugh, ended up returning it

This series is just not for me. I'm a female, so I definitely have nothing against sexual attraction or the occasional sex scene in a book, but an hour into this one and we've got nothing but more sex and more ghosts -- the two things in the first book that I liked least. I was terribly bored and irritated at how many times there were references to sex or sexual attraction. I had hoped the characters matured since the last book, but apparently not. Maybe the rest of it speeds up and gets better, but the first hour was painfully slow and I gave up. Plus, I just don't do dwell with books that flip flop between first person and third person -- it gives the flow a disjointed, choppy feel and is very distracting. I don't know why the author just didn't stick with third person the whole time. If there's one improvement over the first book, it's that the narrator now knows how to say "mischievously." I hope others have better luck with this...
