About this listen

In the zombie apocalypse, no one is safe. Not even children. That’s what twelve-year-old Josh and his friends in the Zombie Hunters Club discovered when the undead invaded their school in The Living Dead Boy. Now, Josh and the remaining Zombie Hunters are stuck on a city bus traveling across zombie-infested Texas. With fires burning on the horizon, mass evacuations underway, zombies roaming the countryside, and in-fighting among the adults on the bus creating tension, Josh has never felt so helpless. Despite his father’s insistence that the adults can handle the situation, Josh knows far too well from watching zombie movies that one person can put everyone else at risk. To his absolute horror, he’s right and he and his friends are running for their lives. Josh may have always considered himself a zombie hunter, but now he’ll have to prove it to escape the ravenous undead and lead his friends to safety.

Although this was a good book, the first was better. I think changing the narrator wasn't such a good idea.

like first book better

The second in this YA zombie apocalypse series. I read the first and second books in this series last year and really enjoyed these characters story. I like how the children's love of zombie movies have given them insight into survival. Author and narrator did a great job.

We continue on with our hero, Josh and company, across Texas running from the Zombies. We meet new friends along the way as well as enemies. I am so pleased as to how the children relay to one another and how the writer makes it so natural. Keeping up with the evolving characters, and their dire situation, she continues to suprise and challenge the reader with plot twists and close calls, all the while keeping them kids! Great character development!
narrator is stellar with the different characters voices and slips between them with ease. I am very much excited to read the continuing saga and hope there is safety and security for the young travelers! Recommend this to anyone who love ya and zompoc stories!

Even better than the first!

I really enjoyed hearing about Josh's exploits. His character continues to grow as well as his friends. The narrator did a great job as well.

great listen

As usual, adults screw things up due to the lack of an open mind and deluding themselves into thinking they have everything under control. Josh and his team of Zombie Hunters know differently, it doesn't take long for them to be proven right. Once again Josh and the Zombie Hunters find themselves on their own and fighting to survive in the new zombie infested world. Excellent book, my nephews and I once again had a blast.

This series just gets better and better!

Another wonderfully written book. I love Joshs character and his perseverance. The way he keeps his friends out of trouble. More proof that adults don’t always know best

2nd book as good as the first

It’s not often that a sequel is better than the original, but I think that’s what we have here. Granted, in retrospect, I wish that the living dead boy was simply combined with us to provide some of the character depth I think makes the characters more relatable, and the voice actor on this audiobook was way better than the first book. Plus, this book has an honest-to-goodness, love-to-root-against antagonist: Chad. I can’t wait to listen to the next one.

Double tap, indeed!

This is book two in the Living Dead Boy series and continues the story of Josh and his friends during the zombie apocalypse. Book two has a narrator change and the new narrator was better for this particular book. This book is written for the tween age group and the female voice is more in line with the age of the characters. The author throws out several pop culture references that the adult generation can appreciate. The story flows well from book 1.

I really enjoyed this book on tape. I do feel like it is more of a preteen than a young adult book though.

It was great.
