About this listen
Realizing that she'd have to become a detective, Jenny spoke with many doctors, parents, governmental agencies, and private foundations, and became an expert at Google research. At last, she discovered a combination of behavioral therapy, diet, and supplements that became the key to saving Evan from autism. Here, she shares her experiences and knowledge and offers a roadmap for other concerned parents.

Story
Over the past 50 years, rates of autoimmunity and chronic disease have exploded. In this provocative book, Dr. Thomas Cowan argues for a direct causal relationship to a corresponding increase in the number of vaccines American children typically receive. The goal of these vaccines is precisely what we’re now seeing in such abundance among our chronically ill children: the provocation of immune response. Cowan looks at emerging evidence that certain childhood illnesses are actually protective of disease later in life.

Story
Finding Grace is the powerful, often humorous, and deeply moving story of one woman's journey of broken dreams. It is the story of how a painful legacy of the past is confronted and met with peace. This book is for anyone who has struggled to understand why our desires---even the simplest ones---are sometimes denied or who has questioned where God is when we need Him most. This story is about one woman's unlikely road to motherhood. Finally, it's a book about the "undeserved gift which is life itself."

When Amy B. Scher was struck with undiagnosed late-stage, chronic Lyme disease, the best physicians in America labeled her condition incurable and potentially terminal. Deteriorating rapidly, she went on a search to save her own life - from the top experts in Los Angeles and the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis to a state-of-the-art hospital in Chicago. After exhausting all of her options in the US, she discovered a possible cure - but it was highly experimental, available only in India, and had as much of a probability of killing her as it did of curing her.

Must read for parents of kids on autism spectrum
Jenny talks in a straight-up honest voice about the road of autism and what she's done to face it with her son. I found myself laughing and crying through the entire book. At times I'd say "atta girl" or "good for you" since I've walked in those same shoes. We've dealt with autism for five years now and I remember one special education teacher telling me "you have to be the voice for your daughter. You've got to be your child's advocate and push to get results." Jenny does just that.
Her heartwarming story gives you hope and even though we've been living with this for so long even I picked up something new...her experience with a gluten free diet has inspired me to give it a try.
Jenny's book helps you realize even celebrities aren't immune to bad things that happen. She's speaks like one of us and you understand that we're all in this together and change can happen when you take charge.
I highly recommend Jennys book to everyone including those who don't deal with autism spectrum disorders. Her point of view lets you understand what the familes go through rather than shy away from them.
Great job Jenny! Spoken like a true mom!

Grateful for this story
As a grandma of a newly diagnosed Autistic grandson, it was enlightening and educational to hear Jenny's journey in helping her son. As heartbreaking as it is; it is also breathtaking to see her perseverance pull her son through the window. It gives us hope! Thanks you for sharing your story. We are on that journey now. And we will pull him through that window too! Many blessings to you and you son! ❤️
