About this listen

Psychic. Mystic. Target. Arabella, the last Oracle, knows what it's like to lose. She doesn't have friends, she doesn't have family, and now those she's aligned herself with are vanishing - even the one pledged to her for all time.

Someone is hunting Arabella on the busy island on which she's taken refuge. Someone with an old soul but a new grudge.

When a mysterious boy shows up to lead her into a trap, Ari lets him do it. She knows the boy is a Herald - a signal of bad tidings - but she's got bigger problems - and so does he.

To free the only one Ari is allowed to love, she will trade every secret she has, but even that might not be enough.

This was my first experience with Angela Kulig's work and it was interesting. The story wasn't very long, but it described a world populated by heralds and an oracle. The oracle's associates are disappearing and this story tells how she rescued them. The author's descriptive turn of phrase painted pictures in my imagination. I am interested in the next story in the series. I recommend this tale to others who enjoy this genre. Jess Nahikian's narration was good and her voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
