About this listen

Love Like This (The Romance Chronicles, book one) is the debut of a new romance series by number one best-selling author Sophie Love.

Keira Swanson, 28, lands her dream job at Viatorum, a slick magazine in New York City, as an aspiring travel writer. But their culture is brutal, her boss is a monster, and she doesn’t know if she can last for long.

That changes when Keira, by a fluke, is handed a coveted assignment and given her big chance: to travel to Ireland for 30 days, witness the legendary Lisdoonvarna festival of love, and to debunk the myth that true love exists. Keira, cynical herself and in a rocky place with her long-term boyfriend, is all too happy to oblige.

But when Keira falls in love with Ireland and meets her Irish tour guide, who just may be the man of her dreams, she is no longer sure of anything.

A whirlwind romantic comedy that is as profound as it is funny, Love Like This is book one in the debut of a dazzling new romance series that will make you laugh and cry.

The narration is an English accent, speaking for a character from America... It was also distracting to have the character’s expressions be so theatrical, it was definitely not boring though. Just didn’t seem fitting, but the plot itself was unique.

Cute story but very predictable.... I listen to audiobooks as I work and this was a good one to pass the time. I was still able to follow the story even when zoning out a bit during parts.

Predictable

It’s cute, I guess, but mostly completely devoid of substance and just annoying. The kicker for me is she’s supposed to be from NYC, and him from Ireland, but the person reading is British and so the accent and mannerisms are completely off for everyone involved…

Absolute trash

I tried reading this book. But the author is exclamation point happy. I found that too distracting so I thought I would just listen to it. So why is an English person narrating a book about an American from New York? The Americans in New York, the Irish guys, everyone spoke with English accent. Again too distracting. The heroine was mean and selfish. Didn't like her. She was probably going to get nicer as the book progressed. Might have been a good story eventually can't say because the narration was just not suitable for this book.

coudn't finish

I hate the leave it hanging books....if you can't complete the story in one book....you shouldn't be writing
