About this listen

"The day I met Derrick while playing my violin in the park was magical. Unfortunately, magic and love together don’t always mix".

Oliver met Derrick while busking in the park, and they hit it off from the start. At first, Derrick’s “mysterious magician” vibe was intriguing, but after two botched dates, Oliver was ready to call it quits.

Fearing he lost his chance with Oliver, Derrick makes a last-ditch effort to win Oliver’s heart with a romantic Valentine’s date. But when love and magic collide, things tend to go awry. Will these two guys make it through the date unscathed?

Steamy, Sweet and Magical!

Love Magic was a delight in audio. For a short, it really packs in all the feels. Good thing Oliver decided to give Derrick just one more chance at a Valentine's Day date. We get to go on a preposterous series of activities punctuated by an even weirder series of mishaps, all with a delightfully steamy culmination.

Nick Hudson's voicing of both the main characters was adorable, and his performance really brought this magical love story to life.

Super Cute, Fabulous Narration!

Cute, fun, funny short! Wonderfully awkward, likable characters. Beautiful narration. Implied happily ever after. Highly recommend!

Frustrating

The last words of the audio are “my bad valentine." A much better title. Plus it might as well say, a relationship which is unbelievable & will never last. The magic isn’t created by the one character but is more like a continuous explosion he needs to control. His telekinesis makes messes every time he is startled or has strong emotions. That’s an interesting idea but a tidy fussy contained music composer seems like an awful soulmate. Making love in his house full of precious personal items that float about & are probably destroyed or broken may inspire music but this magical muscle muse would be an okay friend but the story wants to suggest something long term. A truly terrible valentine between a temperamental (but rather dense) character. (Actually his cluelessness seems forced by the author.) And a magic user who has minimal control over his abilities. He seems kinda tragic, flawed by something which most of the world would not believe or find very trying when they accept him as the culprit. Some good stuff for another story or book but not this one.
