Publisher's summary

A beautiful, opposites attract lesbian romance about hearing the music in your heart.

Rising star cellist Kate Flynn is new to Chicago and her job at the Windy City Chamber Ensemble. On day one, she is surprised by the board's intriguing president, Vivian Kensington. Not only does the woman come with a formidable reputation, but she's also deaf.

However, between a familiar face Kate isn't ready to see again and the difficulties of being a single mom, she isn't sure Chicago is the right place for her.

When tendrils of friendship develop with Vivian, Kate finds beneath her prickly ice queen persona unexpected kindness and warmth. Is the promise of more enough to make her stay? Can two such different women, one from a world of sound and one a world of silence, truly understand one another?

Contains mature themes.

Worth the credit

There are several words I used once the book ended, all of which would flag the review from being posted. Amazing story, Amazing performance, spend that credit.

Highly recommend this one

This book was a nice change because it was a subject outside of your "normal" lesbian stories. Great story line, very likeable characters & Abby Craden as usual, was amazing.

Fantastic story beautifully told.

Incredibly emotionally intelligent telling of a story that we don’t hear enough. Abby Craden’s performance nails it as usual - doing justice to an engaging storyline.

Such a great book!

I could not stop listening to this. I was so enraptured by this story. I was completely invested in the main characters and wanted to see them succeed. Honestly it was very like therapy for me! I saw something in one of the characters I related with and helped me realize and recognize why I do (hopefully DID) what I do. Can there be a better review?

Great story

This was a sweet, romantic story even if they did fall in love too quickly and some other things seemed too convenient to make the story work. I love Abby Craden but cringed at the extremely high pitched voice for Max and even for Charley.

Absolutely loved this story!

Great story the MCs were well developed and I could really connect with the dialog. Abby Craden was brilliant as always but this performance needed to be special and it was. I can't wait for this Authors next book!
