Ariel Kimber is a 17-year-old girl who has recently discovered she is no ordinary girl. She's a witch, and she's got magic. Her world is turned upside down with this discovery and the recent death of a parent.
She struggles to learn the way of the world of magic while mourning for her hideous mother and trying to find her place amongst her coven. It's not easy being the only girl with seven guys, and she works hard to get to know them all because they are her coven, whether she likes it or not.
This is the second book in a series. It's reverse harem and slow burn.

Chunky is creepy after the potion , Quinton I love how He interacts with Ariel. He’s always at the right place at the right time.
Dash goes and makes up for being an a-hole in book one . You get a glimpse of who Ariel father is and why her mother was so terrible to her
The performance of Melissa Schwairy was great. Her tone for each character is strong

She's no longer alone but she doesn't know how to be part of the coven yet either.
I was definitely not disappointed with book 2. The storyline continued nicely. Very interesting revelations. We found out more about the Witching World, more about Ariel, Marcus Cole, and several of the guys. We actually got to spend time with the older set of guys in the coven this time, so now we have a better idea who Dash, Julian, and Damien are. We still definitely need more, but with a group this large it's natural that it would take time to get to know all of the guys. We didn't get as much time with Tyson, Addison, and Abel, but what we did get was quality time. And lucky for me, we got plenty of Quinton. I realize that he is a polarizing character, but I love him. He's intense, volatile, his moral compass is questionable, but he's all in. He loves passionately, goes after what he wants with determination, and fiercely protects what he loves. Part dream/part nightmare!
Ariel still has issues, she's sometimes selfish, frustrating or irritating. I would like to see her get out of her own head, stop isolating, whining, and overreacting. When she's delightful, it's easy to see what a great character she could be. I want more of her natural sweetness.
I am absolutely addicted to this series and these characters and listening to it on audio makes it even more enjoyable. Melissa Schwairy does a fantastic job portraying Ariel in all her moods and conveys the different guys nicely giving them all distinctive personalities. I can't wait until they are all on audio.
Audio makes Uncle Quinton even more enjoyable
