About this listen

Hannah

Maddox Lovelace. The captivating football player I met in college.

The one I only knew for a week. A week that was...life-changing. Until my phone rang, and I had no choice but to go home.

I left Maddox a letter, putting my feelings on paper, giving him my number, hoping he'd call. But he didn't call.

He never called. He got drafted into the professional league and lived like a king while I stayed home and struggled to stay afloat. I may have followed his career, but now that he's retired from football, I've forced myself to stop thinking about him. And it's okay that I won't ever see him again. That week in college was fifteen years ago. I'm not in love with Maddox anymore. I might even hate him.

Maddox

Hannah Utley. The name that's haunted me since my senior year of college. The girl who caught my attention with her wide eyes and freckled nose. Who spent one week twisting up my insides until she stole a piece of my heart the night we got locked inside the campus library.

The girl who disappeared without a word.

It's the name of the girl I've been trying to forget for fifteen years. And it's the name looking up at me from the resume in my hand.

Because Hannah Utley works for the company I just purchased.

And that makes her mine. Whether she likes it or not.

Hannah & Maddox

I absolutely loved this story . A great beginning to the love letters series… college sweethearts torn apart by a tragedy and a misunderstanding who 15 years later find their way back to each other … ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Big Bad Wolf & Bunny <3

I will devour anything Tilly writes and had been anxiously waiting to read this on my every growing TBR. I decided to enjoy the audiobook -because Jacob Morgan, DUH - and I loved every second. The banter and miscommunication were well done, combined with the delicious tension between Hannah and Maddox who so obviously still loved and longed for each other for over a decade. I am not a second chance romance girlie but this book may have just swayed my opinion because they pay off was SO GOOD. I also had many moments of laughing and kicking my feet at their interactions, cheesy and lovey at times but I will enjoy every single moment of it!

So cute

Very contemporary. But the more beer I drank the funnier it was. Don’t judge it was my birthday 🎉

I adored this book!

✨ Love, Utley ✨

THIS. BOOK. I am obsessed with Maddox and Hannah together and reading their story was so much fun. I inhaled it in less than two days because I couldn't get enough of their banter, chemistry, and swoony moments. Maddox is this big, strong Alpha who has a complete sweet spot for Hannah and anything Hannah loves. I love that he was completely mush for her. And Hannah is this strong, amazing human who is just trying to take care of herself and her family. She finds her voice through this book and you can see her confidence grow as her love grows. I love them so much!!!! I'm so sad it is over.

Hannah and Maddox meet in college and have one amazing night locked in the library and plan to see each other again the next day. But when Hannah's mom has a stroke, she is forced to drop out of school and get home immediately to help her with her health and business. Since Hannah and Maddox never exchanged phone numbers, she has to leave him a note. But he never calls. 15 years later, Hannah walks into an interview with her new boss and it's Maddox....

This audiobook was AMAZING! I think this is one of my favorites performances by Jacob Morgan and I love him. He was the most perfect Maddox. Andi Arndt voiced Hannah and I also loved her. If you like audio, I highly recommend this one.

Fun book

I liked the story, readers, but there were chapter changes after 1 sentence. It wasn’t necessary but it made me know the readers were not in the same state. Loved the characters and plot. Worth the purchase.

Love this book and series

The title is based on the signature of a letter. Maddox is a college Football star and Hannah, stressed in the story, is a plus sized woman. They spend a week together and fall in love.

Hannah has to leave college and they meet again 15 years later rekindling their love for each other.

S.J. Tilly does a good job of portraying a strong plus sized MFL without over doing it. I loved that they got their second chance romance and were mature enough to not let it go. Maddox didn't have as much character growth as I expected or hoped.

Andi Arndt delivered a spit on performance of Hannah. Timing just right, portraying Hannah's emotions was well done and not over the top.

Jacob Morgan delivered Maddox's character SO well. I could just see this big football dude who was self assured enough to not fall for the industry's standards of who he wanted. I was a bit disappointed that it waited until Maddox's retirement though and he still dated model types while playing football. This felt a bit disingenuous.

Overall a great listen, well told and I recommend.
