Publisher's summary

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes anothe STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis - with explosive results.

Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project - a literal dream come true - Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school - archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.

But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas... devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing.

But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there's only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

"Your world is about to be rocked." (Elena Armas, author of The Spanish Love Deception)

"Hopelessly, brilliantly, wonderfully romantic. I loved it even more than The Love Hypothesis, and I didn't think that was possible." (Cressida McLaughlin)

Very nice and simple

The book is great and entertaining for those who are not looking for sophistication or any emotional roller coasters! Simple, happy and easy to finish.

Ali Hazelwood never disappoints!

Loved the book, as well as the narration. This was the second book in the series, but somehow, I finished the first and the third books before buying this one. I’d say I loved all three of the books, but my favourite from Ali would still be Check and Mate.

Ali Hazelwood Spin

Listened to 3 of Ali Hazelwoods books back to back. Did not disappoint. I really enjoy the fun, light hearted stories. The quirky wit is also great. Narration has also been great in all the ones I've listened to.

Reparativ and predictable plot

It's just as it's predecessor, just in an other setting. No struggling with finishing though. The smutt is not for me, jumped over it all. Great narration, made it real and gave justice for the characters.

The best

Hazelwood is becoming my favourite author. This book is compelling, sexy witty and fun, and SO intelligent! Don't start it if you have stuff you need to be doing, because you'll be bingeing it for sure.

Second book by Ali Hazelwood I enjoyed!

I really enjoyed this book. I first read the love hypothesis by the same author and enjoyed that so I thought I would have a go at another of her reads. I don’t know which book Boyfriend is better Levi or Adam. I love how the book brought up several different topics. Firstly, the treatment of women in academia, second how people are assholes. And third people can change with the right people in their lives. Love the “invisible” cat in the story. I knew from the beginning about the Twitter thing. I sometimes with the height difference was a bit too much, but I enjoyed the couples opposites in personalities and clothing/personal style between Levi and Bee. And I think Bee should stand for something like Bianca or some thing. The story continues to flow and there wasn’t a moment I thought can I just get to it or this is boring. Spice was a one out of five. Enjoyed how the characters were brought to life by the narrator.

Hazelwood captures the female gaze perfectly

Love on the Brain has been a great escapism read. It started a little too slow for my liking, Hazelwood really built up the enemies aspect of the enemies to lovers trope. What I think she did an astounding job of was depicting the love scenes. The male protagonist says and does all the right things at the right time.

Enjoyed it

Sometimes books don't need to be unpredictable for you to enjoy them. Listening to the narrator read that story was enjoyable, as well as the story it self. There were not much that surprised me, and sometimes that's exactly what I need. The story was good and I recommend it, Especially if you need a break, something to enjoy and something uncomplicated(because sometimes real life just is)

Lovely story all round

A very sweet story with all the fun twists that make for an interesting read (listen?). I enjoy this genre, and this book was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I recommended it for any romance fan that needs something light, fun, and a little heated.
The performance was a little breathy sometimes, and the masculine voices a little cliche, but still lovely to listen to.
