Stream Love in Taipei, the movie adaptation of Loveboat, Taipei, now on Paramount+, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV!

Don't miss Loveboat Forever, the third companion novel in the series, on sale November 2023!

Sophie Ha and Xavier Yeh have what some would call a tumultuous past.

Hearts were broken, revenge was plotted—but at least they’re friends now. They left the drama behind them back in Taipei—at their summer program, Loveboat—forever.

Now that fall is here, they’re focusing on what really matters. Sophie has sworn off boys and is determined to be the best student Dartmouth’s ever had. Xavier just wants to stay under his overbearing father’s radar, collect his trust fund when he turns eighteen, and concentrate on what makes him happy.

But the world doesn’t seem to want Sophie and Xavier to succeed. Sophie’s college professor thinks her first major project is “too feminine.” Xavier’s father gives him an ultimatum: finish high school or be cut off from his inheritance.

Then Sophie and Xavier find themselves on a wild, nonstop Loveboat reunion, hatching a joint plan to take control of their futures. Can they succeed together . . . or are they destined to combust?

VERY TOUCHING & HEARTFELT

This story brought me to tears in a good way and it brought me many smiles too. My own son was diagnosed with both ADDHD and Dysgraphia. He struggled through school and is having a tough time finding work. Even though, like Xavier, he tested very high in other areas. This story brought me such hope. I'm grateful to the author for shining a light on and bringing awareness to Dysgraphia. This is one of the few stories I'll listen to over and over again. I will highly recommend it to all my friends and family. I would give it a thousand stars if I could.

She’s Done It Again

I DNF’ed this book for about a year before deciding to pick it up again and I’m so, so glad I did. It’s such a smart story (more well written than some adult novels I’ve read recently) and it feels really important. While getting to witness Sophie and Xavier’s completely impressive growth, I was being taken to places I didn’t expect to go throughout the entire book. Getting to watch all of the complexities build and unfold was really beautiful and I swear I was fighting tears through the entire ending. Everything was wrapped up so nicely, with a big bow on top. The way that Abigail Hing Wen writes makes me feel completely immersed in the lives of the characters. I’m feeling everything that they’re feeling and seeing everything that they’re seeing and I was overjoyed that she described Xavier’s film to us at the end; it felt like I was actually watching it! This novel really touched me and reminded of why I love the Loveboat universe so much. I’m so at peace with the ending and I can’t wait to read the next one to experience more of the magic.

I Really Didn't Care About It..

After the disaster that was Loveboat Teipei I came to this book expecting that I would have an equally bad time, turns out that my expectations were extremely low that I really couldn't care less about it ..
The story follows Sophie, Ever's friend and her toxic past crush Xavier who was the second part of the love triangle in the first book, they will realize they are better off aa friends but soon enough they find themselves wanting a second chance at love
Y'all know how much I hate sexond chance romances and add to that its a sequel to a terrible book ? the stacks weren't in its favor, but I really couldn't care any less about this couple, Xavier had an interesting enough story with his family and all .. but the book was simply boring
