Publisher's summary

Asim Nour is the type of man who appreciates life and all that it has to offer. He’s been in the streets for years and is now realizing the benefit of building his legal status as well. Both worlds keep him busy and his pockets full. As much as he appreciates his status, the women appreciate it more.

Kyori Spencer is the type of woman who takes full advantage of all life has to offer. Even if it’s not by way of her own bank account. It just so happens that the man she committed herself to, has loosely committed himself to several other women. When is enough, enough? Kyori soon finds herself fed up and on the verge of catching an assault charge until the extremely handsome and very assertive Asim Nour steps in for the save.

Amir Nour has resigned to living life to the fullest, and with the status he’s built working alongside his big brother, Asim, that’s an easy task. However, a chance encounter with a beautiful woman intrigues him enough to wonder if it’s time to end his playboy ways.

Lear’ah Marshall just can’t catch a break. After losing her sister, she’s struggling to find a reason to live and not just sit home alone watching life pass her by. That within itself is a challenge considering her current living situation. After paying for college, she’s stuck with the roommate from hell whose boyfriend is anything but respectful. Lear’ah is fed up but financially strapped. Will a gorgeous stranger be able to present a reason for her to smile or will Lear’ah decide that he’s just not worth the trouble?

Welcome to what happens when chance encounters turn into the possibility of happiness, if only the ladies can find a way to let go of the past and embrace the future.

Must read

It's a great book, and I love how the narrators bring the story together. I didn’t have an issue with the female narrator; I think she did a great job with the different charter voices.

Hard to finish

The narrators are horrible. It has a typical drug dealer storyline. Not sure if it’s worth reading the next book.

Im glad there is a part 2 !

The abrupt ending made me grateful there is a complete realistic part 2! Plus all the relationships have some type of balance which makes it believable

Grown People with a little hood

This was my first time with this author and I was pleasantly impressed. The men in this story are grown and so are the women, the H and the h went for what they wanted and got it. No games, just realness. I liked the fact that the men didn’t run from their emotions and put it all out there on what they wanted. So refreshing! The narrators were good too. Can’t wait until book 2, although this peeked my interest so much that I downloaded the book from Amazon to see how it ended, but it’s good enough that I will get the audible...if the narrators are good.

Perfect

I have been waiting for KC Mills to put her books on audio for years and I am not disappointed. The narrators are new to me and they both did great. Can't wait for more of her catalog to come to Audible.

PT 1

Not much glory in street life at least not long term. These brothers aren't checking for attention & seem to live low key. Which is interesting because falling in love seems to awaken alot in both of them.
Key is determined to be independent & can't seem to accept anything not even the right man for her.
Aimee woman got so much past trauma that shes only willing to accept the bad & ugly first. Which sucks because the good things/moments and any trust in Aimee is the last thing she offers up freely even when he hasn't shown to be undeserving of it. The brothers show love freely however past actions seem to bite everyone sooner or later. I'll buy the book & listen to the audible. Can't wait for PT 2.

I Enjoy Books

I loved the story line and the characters, Feel good love stories are my go too. Had to adjust to the narrator’s voice but the story told a true hood love.

was good

I guess this author has a thing for drug dealers. Nevertheless, the book kept me interested.
I recognized one of the voices from t.v and it got on my nerves. Good book regardless

Hated the female narrator m!

The story was good and I loved the characters, but this female narrator’s voice is extraordinarily annoying and whiny. It only comes alive when she portray s the characters. When she narrates she sounds hideous! Thank God the book was good!
