About this listen

Kenyon Porter seemingly has it all; money, power, status, and respect. However, having it all is a matter of opinion. Due to family baggage, Kenyon has lived his life in the fast lane, where money and status have allowed him to live without regret. What happens when a thunderous storm of expectations and need filters its way into his life and causes him to reconsider if he really does have it all?

Rachel Williams is a woman with confidence. Men love her, and she has a close-knit circle that empowers her to feel like there’s nothing she can’t have or accomplish. However, there’s one thing that seems to be out of reach, and that’s the one man who ignites her desire to have something real. Unfortunately, after one man bruised her heart and soul so thoughtlessly, she no longer trusts her judgment enough to hand over her heart to anyone else.

Sometimes, people are so damaged, they can’t find their way out of the storm to embrace love. Rachel and Porter must decide if what they have is worth fighting for and if they are willing to trust in love - and each other. When you can’t completely trust your heart, sometimes it’s just as simple as letting go enough to just say you will.

Very Good

I read this book a while ago. When I saw it on audible.I had to get it. The narrators did a very good job. They brought the characters Rachel and Kenyon to life.

Love with falls and all

This love story is definitely a testament of pushing through instead of letting others define and control you, especially family ties. I will be definitely listening to more stories by K.C.

Plot

I know typical big girl gets the guy. Nope, that's not typical. ilIts a story about to hurt people discovering themselves and love in the process. Audible orginal. I hadn't heard reading from either narrator but they weren't bad, actually enjoyable.

A Little Insecurity and Low Self Esteem

I love me some K.C. Mills, for the most part, she puts out some novels with a decent storyline. What I got from it is that Rachel and Porter had an attraction with one another, and it was expressed sexually - almost like a love/hate relationship. However, they were not ready to commit - at least that is what they thought. Actions did not match their words. Then, it seems like they unanimously wanted to be committed to one another. However, there were some challenges with Porter past dealing, namely, his father and the insecurity instilled in her because of her mother. Also, Rachel's ex-fiance did her so wrong and had a nerve to want her back. Rachel had an awesome best friend, Sutton - who has her own story. I wonder if there will be a story about Porter's assistance; she was feeling one of his clients. Porter loved Kendra for who she was and boy did enjoy exploring her body. They got in enough love making - at each and every moment when they could; that was probably the most annoying to me. I would love to hear more about why Rachel's mom grew to hate her so much; Porter suggested that she was jealous of her own daughter. I also would like to here about Porter's brother from another mother and maybe about the relationship with his father.
