Sam Flock is a good cop, but when she has a paranormal experience on the job that causes her to drive into the side of an ambulance, her career in law enforcement meets its end. Determined to find answers, she forms a paranormal investigation agency with her friend, Shells. Though they are perhaps the world's worst paranormal investigators, they find something beyond their wildest imaginings.

What did you like best about Lure? What did you like least?
I liked the story line and concept and enjoyed the humor but found it hard to like the characters. The main character is an ex cop, had been a cop for a number of years, suposedly a good one, but she has no common sense.and drinks herself into a stupor at parties she can't remember most nights.Drinking and the stupidity that comes of it seems to be a main theme. Her best friend is even worse and has no ability to keep her mouth shut in any situation. there are some very funny scenes but these girls do not learn from their mistakes. the story is good enough to keep me rlistening, but I keep wanting to yell at "Shells" to Shut up! I know this is the start of a series, but I really have to enjoy the characters to commit to a series. If you like drunken revelry and stupidity, this is your book. It keeps my attention enough to finish it,which is why it has 3 stars. but that is the best I can say..mixed feelings
