About this listen

This novelette contains powerful Christian influences, love, family, and other related themes meant to make you smile!

The year is 1877. Ester had been married before, and she wasn't sure that she wanted to repeat the experience. Her heart had turned jaded, and her former husband's abusive treatment had left her too afraid to even want to find love again. Living in Austin, Texas, she never thought she would find true love. After forming a sudden relationship with a cowboy seeking a mail order bride, Ester feels led by God to travel to California and meet this potential husband. Along the way she is met with an unfortunate situation and soon learns she is with child. The cowboy falls in love with Ester, however, is unaware of her pregnancy. Ester soon realizes what she must do to make things right…

Yes! There were so many unexpected funny moments in this book, I want to hear them again. Definitely a day brightener!! :-)

There are so many, it's hard to choose, but I think my favorite is the scene with Esther and the lambs :-)

Any additional comments?

Along with being a bright spot in my day, this story had so many wonderful Scripture verses that were so encouraging. No matter how bleak your life is, God is always at work for your good and His glory!
