Enjoyable

These are enjoyable of how they found their mates. If thru dreams of a better life, or a dream to practice medicine. Even in the west the shadows of evil and their past can cause problems.

A Bride for Winslow!

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

Montana Bargain continues the story of the tiny town of Echo Canyon, Montana and it’s efforts to keep the town from drying up by having the single males place ads around the country for mail order brides. Dr. Winslow Wu is the veterinarian in Echo Canyon, he can be of help when it’s residents are ill but the town really needs a doctor. Dr. Wu is single and is looking for a wife so he decides to try to help the town grow, as well as provide the residents with a doctor to take care of them.

Dr. Erin Avery has graduated from the Homeopathic Medical College of Missouri, but is finding that getting a job in the medical field is still beyond her reach because of bias against female doctors. When her friend shows her Dr. Wu’s ad in her local paper, Dr. Avery is ready to travel from Missouri to Montana to become the bride of Dr. Wu. While her friend has reservations because Dr. Wu is Chinese, Erin does not care. She is willing to marry him, sight unseen to secure her place as an official doctor for the town.

One of the things I’m enjoying about this series is getting to catch up with residents we’ve met in previous books. The books seem to flow seamlessly together and are full of colorful characters and beautiful descriptions of the town and surrounding countryside. A true pleasure to listen to (read).

Another Great Story

Any additional comments?

Great addition to the series. Very entertaining and enjoyable. These are just good clean, fun and engaging stories. I have enjoyed all of Mail Order Bride series from this author. There is so much more going on than just a Mail Order Bride story. As always the story is filled with likable (and unlikable) characters with a good storyline.

A mixture of romance, suspense, humor, mystery and a HEA. There's a little bit more mystery and suspense in this story than the previous one. It's great having a whole new set of characters and their stories. There is more than one story going on in this book. That's all I can say, I don't want to spoil the story .

Liked the fact that Erin and Win share a love of books and would read together. Loved that Evan couldn't resist joining Josie for the "main event" and his, I get it first.

This is the first time I have listened to Lawrence D. Yanklin narrate an audio. Overall he did a good job. He has a nice voice that has the rough western sound perfect for this type of story. Pacing was good not to fast or to slow. Character voices were good. There were times that the narration didn't flow smoothly, an odd pause or emphasis on a wrong word. Overall though very enjoyable.

Montana Bargain Maddie

While this is the second book in the series it does a good job as a stand alone book. While it would probably be better to read in order it's not necessary.

This is a quick easy read. It's a great little western love story.

Superb series

Dr Erin wants her own medical practice so when Dr Win advertises for a Mail Order Bride who is also a doctor she immediately writes to him and is soon on her way to Echo Canyon.
The story brings in all the old lovable and unlovable characters from Montana Bargain and all seems well until .... Well, you had better read it for yourself to find out.
The book is full of all kinds of situations that need sorting out and sorted out they are by our author, Linda Bridey. She knows just how to lay down the groundwork for a mystery as well as for a loving relationship and this story is uniquely full of these.
Mr Yaklin read this story fairly well, but again I have a problem with the Irish accent. Anyway, it was a good attempt.
This series is getting to be a firm favorite of mine and I recommend it.

Another great story in this series

I am loving this series so far. I really liked the main characters in this book. I loved that the heroine was a doctor when it wasn’t popular to be a woman doctor. I also enjoyed the fact that her hubby to be read romance novels...how often do you find a guy who really enjoys them. I liked that it started out as something he did with his mom. I liked their development and burgeoning romance. I am sure others will enjoy it too. The narrator was great as well. I could listen to him read any book. I would recommend both to other audiobook listeners who enjoy this genre.
