Good Western Mature Romance Mail Order Bride

Bridey does not just write novels, she creates entire communities of Western romantic characters, so read in series order. The regular characters of the Echo Valley "save our town through new brides campaign" continue to appear in this warm, clean romantic Western whose front and center couple includes the older Thad McIntyre, the town bounty hunter and his 48 year old mail order bride. Mature romance ensues.

Great story

Great story with just enough twists and turns, heartbreaking revelations and resiliency. Despite all of this love blooms between a the main characters. Can't wait to read/listen to the rest of these series.

The Fire of His Heart

In this story we find out how Thad, the Bounty Hunter, meets and marries Jessie, a widow with two daughters. Thad has previously adopted some small orphan children because their mother had been murdered (she was his landlady).
Of course Thad and Jessie come to care for each other and as Linda Bridey, the author says, Jessie is "The fire of his Heart" and if you read this book you will find out why and how.
We meet Molly and Ally who are Jessie's daughters and they pair up with Keith and Adam, two of the young guys living in Echo Canyon. There are some very interesting mini stories between these couples.
Every time 'old' Edna makes an appearance I land up laughing like crazy. What a fantastic character she is.
And in this story, the Terrible Twins (this is a title I gave them some time ago), Marvin and Shadow, are renamed the "Unholy Bookends" - absolutely brilliant and again you will have to read the story to find out why.
Do you know "how to kill a piano". No? Well neither did I, but I soon found out.
All this is just a sample of the wonderful sense of humour that the author has and the book is full of this kind of thing besides being very easy to read and the audiobook being easy on the ear.
The partnership of Linda Bridey, the author and the narrator, Lawrence D. Yaklin is an excellent one, each one enhances the amazing talent of the other.
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

Excellent

Days out west was hard, to settle the land and find love and happiness was not easy. The past of a person, or bounty hunters were real. If one was a widow what was she to do. Good portray of times in the west.Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
