In this first book in the Mango Bob series, Walker has just lost his job, his wife has filed for divorce, and he’s living in a tent down by the river.
Being ever-resourceful, Walker swaps his truck for a motorhome (a.k.a. "the Love Bus"), and agrees to drive it cross-country to sleepy Englewood, Florida, so he can deliver a cat named Mango Bob to a woman he's never met.
Should be easy, right? Drive to Florida, hand over the cat, and then hang out on the beach.
Except there’s an unsolved murder involving the Love Bus, the Mexican mafia, and a half million in missing gold coins.
Add to the mix a trigger-happy grandma, a team of bungling burglars, the hot chick with the kayak, the repo man, and you get a rollicking travel romp through the Sunshine State.
A fun and fast listen!

This book has transformed two previously organized people in to Mango Bob addicts, as well as our 11 year old granddaughter. We are well into the second book of the series (Mango Lucky) and it is feeding our addiction rather nicely.
Our main complaint with the series is that it is taking far too long between books! Pick up the pace guys!
Warning! This book is addictive!

The main character is John Walker, a mild-mannered man, who finds himself without a job, divorced, and no place to live. At first, he lives in a tent on the river, then he buys an RV from his former employer and goes on an adventure to Florida (from Arkansas) to deliver a cat, Mango Bob, to a friend’s sister. It does take a while to get into the story.
Walker gets drawn into a mystery that involves his new RV, and he meets people along the way who help him get out of trouble. It is a feel-good story and a fun listen!
Mike Steele does a great job of narrating. He has good timing, is engaging, breathes life into the characters, and is a gifted storyteller.
Feel-good, PG rated, story!
