Publisher's summary
What’s getting in the way of you leading an extraordinary life? How does anyone get to a point in life where they can say, unequivocally say, that they feel fulfilled and fully alive? Why are some leaders more effective than others? Why are some people happily married and others not? Why are some individuals more prone to depression while others seem to possess a magical resilience? Why do some elite athletes become professionals and others remain mere amateurs? Why are some of us are happy and others unhappy despite almost identical circumstances?
It’s your program. A subconscious set of rules that drive the actions you take and limit the results you get. To be extraordinary in any area of your life, you must write and master your own code. This is your guidebook for doing that now.
By listening to this book, you will learn how to:
- Be the shaper of your life, not a prisoner of your circumstances
- Take full responsibility for your life and give up the right to complain
- Honor your word and live a life of integrity
- Let go of grudges and forgive unconditionally
- Do what you were born to do in this world
Darren Gold is managing partner at The Trium Group where he is one of the world’s leading executive coaches and advisors to CEOs and their teams. His mission is to unlock the full potential of leaders and their organizations. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and children.
"This is a must read for anyone interested in leadership and human potential." (Frank Blake, Former Chairman & CEO, The Home Depot)

We can all improve at improving. And when opportunity doesn’t knock, there are ways to build a door.

After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Story
Dead cats. That's the image many people conjure up when you mention curiosity. An image perpetuated by a dusty old proverb that has long represented the extent of our understanding of the term. This book might not put the proverb to rest, but it will flip it upside down: far from killing anything, curiosity breathes new life into almost everything it touches.

Must Read!
Darren Gold is a master writer. Master Your Code is full of insight on how anyone can drastically improve his/her life. I could not put this book down. It is a very easy read, replete with practical, sound advice. The concepts flow so nicely, with great citations and examples for reinforcement. It is impossible to compare this to any self-help book. This is completely unique. It is a guide on how to tap into your inherent codes to live the best life possible. My only complaint is that this book didn't exist a long time ago. It is a must read for people of all ages. I have read the book and listened to the audible and I plan re-read it regularly.

Great perspective on altering limiting beliefs!
The author captures a perspective about the sub-conscious and our beliefs. Personal stories about the author and his quest for self-awareness make this an approachable topic. I thoroughly enjoyed the audio book and would recommend it for anyone on a quest to discover the "why" in their life.

Clear, Practical, and Insightful
This was very well written and well read. Darren is able to share his insights in a way that resonated strongly with me. I was riddled with moments of passionate agreement, and as many times where I found myself understanding my own internal code and why I think and act the way I do.
For me this will not be a one time book. I will refer back to it over and over to continue to tweak the parts of my code which are holding me back.
Thank you Darren and Well Done!

Life Changing
One day, you will receive unexpected news which will impact the rest of your life. Mine was a diagnosis of metastatic cancer at the age of 47 and it turned my life upside down. I cried as hard as I could thinking about my family, friends, the medical career I loved, and my death.
Multiple modes and rounds of caustic treatment compounded by the actions of a heartless insurance company were destroying me. My code was inadequate and it was failing me. Years of programming were contributing to an unhealthy cycle of decompensation and despair.
But like every storm, there was a silver lining. I read Darren Gold’s book. Master Your Code’s eloquence and eye opening examples helped me reprogram my code so that I could focus on the things that matter in life and cherish them in a positive way. This book has given me precious time back that cancer tried to steal. I am blessed and honored to have this book in my life and would encourage everyone to re-evaluate who you have been and who you can actually be, no matter what your circumstances.

Learning to rewrite my own code
Quick read, insightful, personal, and immediately impactful. Darren Gold helps you to look in and see what aspects of your code are ripe for a rewrite. He explains how these hard wired beliefs, many created during our youth, can sometimes hold us back as we advance through life. His personal life examples demonstrate practical application of his ideas and recommendations. The audible version is great during walks and during commutes. Mr Gold is sincere and compassionate in delivering his message. This book is a must read for anyone looking to lead their best life and be present and introspective.

Epic trash
This was highly recommended to me. It is utter garbage. The author can’t even tell you the path to finding your purpose. He just states stop looking and it will come. What a genius ridiculous answer that is. I’m wish I never would have spend money and time on this book. Oh and his dad has explosive anger. So what, and...
