About this listen

In Master of Iron, the conclusion to Tricia Levenseller’s exciting Bladesmith YA fantasy duology, a magically gifted blacksmith with social anxiety must race against the clock to save her beloved sister and stop a devastating war.

Eighteen-year-old Ziva may have defeated a deadly warlord, but the price was almost too much. Ziva is forced into a breakneck race to a nearby city with the handsome mercenary, Kellyn, and the young scholar, Petrik, to find a powerful magical healer who can save her sister’s life.

When the events that follow lead to Ziva and Kellyn’s capture by an ambitious prince, Ziva is forced into the very situation she’s been dreading: magicking dangerous weapons meant for world domination.

The forge has always been Ziva’s safe space, a place to avoid society and the anxiety it causes her, but now it is her prison, and she’s not sure just how much of herself she’ll have to sacrifice to save Kellyn and take center stage in the very war she’s been trying to stop.

Loved it!

Another great read by Levenseller! As a school counselor I love that this book has a MC that deals with Anxiety AND I love that this book is clean enough for me to actually recommend to my students.

Intriguing

This was a good enough story to keep me interested I did, however, like the character development, and found it to be very enjoyable. I think there was a lot of moments where the MC could’ve displayed a little more heroism to help develop her character more but overall very good.

Promotes domestic violence!!! NOT OKAY

Chapter 15- It is not now, nor will it ever be okay to have characters showing domestic violence!! No female should ever punch a male because she’s upset with him and it be okay. Not to mention the fact that she causes him to bleed.
Just imagine if one of the guys punched one of the females in the face because he was lied to and then she starts bleeding. This is NOT OKAY!!!

Amazing book.

5/5. Amazing Novel. Took it as an audiobook. Amazing performance by the narrator and very well written. The only thing that I wanted to see was that who was worthy of the secret eater. It will always be a mystery I guess.

Loved the book

In regards to the snowflake that was “offended” by the “domestic violence (thrown punches). Stop all your reading, Grow a set, or melt away.
The book is age appropriate and well written. Exciting and full of twists. One of my top 20 for the year.

Good story - annoying voice

I read the first book and it was good then I made the mistake to buy the second book in Audible. The voice for a young girl is understandable but I couldn't get into the bad voice changes of the narrator. After a while it became annoying and got on my nerves. Make sure to listen to a sample before you buy. Just my opinion...
