Publisher's summary

In this delightful sequel novella to the New York Times bestselling Sorcery of Thorns, Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas must unravel the magical trap keeping them inside Thorn Manor in time for their Midwinter Ball!

Elisabeth Scrivener is finally settling into her new life with sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn. Now that their demon companion Silas has returned, so has scrutiny from nosy reporters hungry for gossip about the city’s most powerful sorcerer and the librarian who stole his heart. But something strange is afoot at Thorn Manor: the estate’s wards, which are meant to keep their home safe, are acting up and forcibly trapping the Manor's occupants inside. Surely it must be a coincidence that this happened just as Nathaniel and Elisabeth started getting closer to one another…

With no access to the outside world, Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas—along with their new maid Mercy—will have to work together to discover the source of the magic behind the malfunctioning wards before they’re due to host the city’s Midwinter Ball. Not an easy task when the house is filled with unexpected secrets, and all Elisabeth can think about is kissing Nathaniel in peace. But when it becomes clear that the house, influenced by the magic of Nathaniel’s ancestors, requires a price for its obedience, Elisabeth and Nathaniel will have to lean on their connection like never before to set things right.

Lovely

It was instantly great to be back at the Manor and seeing their love blossom some more. Though not as great as the first book, it was still good.

Everything I Hoped For!!

When I finished Sorcery of Thorns soon after its debut, I had two complaints…I needed more of the fabulous story and more romance.

Mysteries of Thorn Manor gave me a perfect mix of both! Along with exceptional narration by Emily Ellet, this is the perfect cozy read for a winter’s day!

Romantic Addition

It was so much fun getting to be back in this world again! This felt like an extended epilogue for all the characters we've grown to love. The narrator was amazing and I'm glad she could come back for this book.

A Cute Novella to satisfy some questions

I liked the story a lot, it’s the perfect novella to cuddle up by the fire with. But I was a little disappointed in Nathaniel’s final gesture at the end of the book. It felt like he was forced to do it, instead of planning it out himself. Otherwise it was a sweet story, and the epilogue left me to wonder if there would be another book coming soon…overall I liked it but am hopeful there’s more to these characters stories in the future!

Brilliant Narration

This beautiful little book has gifted me with endless joy! I've been so excited for more from one of my favorite authors and this was just everything!! This novella was wistfully whimsical and sheer brilliance.

One of my favorite parts was seeing the relationship between Elisabeth and Nathaniel cement. They are such a fun and flirty couple and their banter always makes me giddy.

Another fantastic part was the epilogue where we learn quite a bit about Silas. That was frightfully entertaining.

I sincerely wish that we receive another book set in this unforgettable world. I've purchased the ebook, audio book and even a signed copy. I'm thrilled that I did because this tale gladdened my little fangirly heart. I truly couldn't have loved it more.
