Publisher's summary

It was always him....

The one I shouldn't want, shouldn't crave, the one who could destroy my carefully built life.

Hagen Lykaios was the essence of sin, indulgence, and danger - everything I knew to avoid.

All it took was one unexpected touch, and he consumed me, left me begging, needy, and hungry for more.

He said if I entered his world he would corrupt me, own me, and change all that I had ever known...and you know what? I went anyway.

Penny and Hagen

This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed. It had the mafia, greed, an evil stepmother, mystery, and plenty of romance. Both Penny and Hagen were interesting characters who were not what they seemed. They both have loved each other from afar for years. Penny's brother Adrian, sets up a meeting for Penny with Hagen to talk about her suspicions about their father's death and that begins their relationship. Penny's brother is so sweet and extremely smart. I love Hagen's two brothers, Pierce and Zack. It would have been nice to find out what happens to the evil stepmother, Dara, after the showdown in her own offices. She was a real b!tch towards Penny. At the end, there is a nice setup for Pierce's book. Yami Habibi did a good job with the narration. Joe Arden was outstanding. He is one of my favorite narrators. I highly recommend this book.

Story decent but....

The story line wasn't actually too bad. However, the female narrator was terrible. She did great when it came to voicing an orgasm, but other than that she was very flat.

Reading come to life

This was my first audio book and I was not disappointed. The words of Sienna Snow and the audio actors together created an experience that had me pulling over my car. My commute to work was extended a bit as I was caught up in the tale of Persephone and Hagen. I am so hooked and will be readin….listening to the entire series. Apparently I was washing the same dish 3 times while listening. Great story! Loved meeting the Lykaios brothers.

fabulous

this story was simply beautiful. I loved the storyline and fell in love with the characters. getting a glimpse into the seedy underside of Vegas and if course the broken alpha male. the steam level was off the charts.
Joe Arden and Yami Habibi were fantastic. Yami was new to me and didn't disappoint. she was all in with her performance and her sex scenes were incredible! I can't wait to start the next book in this series.

An Okay Story

This is the first-time l read a book by Sienna Snow and was looking forward to reading this entire series, yet not sure, I will continue reading the other two books. The overall story was okay, yet, too much was going on, to the point, I was practically dizzy, Although well written, there was no pacing.. This was also true of Yami Habibi, narrator whom I listened for the first time. I liked her voice and narration, but she switched from one character to the next without preamble and no modulation , which confused me because at times, l had to pause, as not sure if she was playing Penny, Adrian, Hagan, Hannah, etc. Additionally, I can almost guess the plots for the subsequent stories about The. Lykaios brothers

Disappointing!

.I had heard good things about this series and the storyline sounded promising but the writing was mediocre, the story had holes in it and I felt no emotional connection to the characters because of the lack of any real intimacy between them. There’s loads of mechanical sex that’s erotica not romance, hints of intrigue that never developed and not much mafia for a mafia story. I listened to the audiobook and the only reason I finished was because of the narration performance of Joe Arden.
