About this listen

A man loses the woman he intends to marry. A woman loses her best friend.

Retired Army captain Liam Brosnan and US Marshal Chelsea Kilpatrick are forced to question what they know about a murder that forces them together. Uncertain connections from Liam’s military career rope them into a cloak-and-dagger investigation that offers more questions than answers.

Being duty bound while in the throes of grief is a dangerous mixture. They struggle with unexpected sparks of passion and question their loyalty to a woman they loved while a murderer closes in on his next target.

Will the explosive solace Liam and Chelsea find in one another lead to a love neither expected? Or will it blind them to looming danger and death?

The Savior is a stand-alone romantic suspense novel.

Another amazing story and narration

Absolutely loved the story line that brought in some characters from the Titan Series as well as its own storyline. The addition of Heather Costa with Jeffrey Kafer was wonderful! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Great Story

"The Savior" was a terrific start to the "Aces" series (and a fascinating tie-in to Cristin Harber's "Titan" series, too). I love the suspense of "Savior." It's different than the kind of suspense in the "Titan" novel in some ways, and kept me intrigued until the very end. As always, Cristin's romantic scenes were smokin' hot, but there's the minor complication of the dead woman that meant so much to both Liam and Chelsea that looms large in their memories.

Guilt and grief are difficult roadblocks to overcome in the best of situations, but when you're also trying to catch a terrorist and resist falling in love, too?

I read the book and loved it, so I was really interested to listen to the audiobook. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were two narrators: male and female (my default preference for most genres of Romance). But I have to admit that Jeffrey Kafer's tone comes across as flat and unemotional to me. I often found it hard to take him seriously when he was voicing Chelsea's dialog, for example, and in general had to concentrate harder during his chapters. I enjoyed Heather Costa much more - I wouldn't have minded if she'd read the whole book, in fact. I would have preferred her over Mr. Kafer, to be honest. With that said, that's entirely my personal opinion. I see another review which says that they find Ms. Costa's performance "annoying," and I disagree 100%.

"The Savior," is completely entertaining and well written, as are all Cristin Harber's Romantic Suspense novels. I can't wait for the next in the "Aces" series, and I'll definitely look for the audio versions when the ebooks come out.

Cristin Harber did it again!!

Thank you for bringing back a story with the same feel and a few of the Titan family. The Titan Series has always been my favorite.. the story line and the characters.. of course, Jeffrey Kafer makes it all work for me. And in this series, bringing in Heather Costa has brought a nice balance with her soft tone and a Jeffrey’s rough, dry no nonsense tone... it works. They really compliment one another. For me, even if I come across a really great book/story, and I do t care for the narrator, I won’t buy the audible. I will read it on my own, but the narrator is every bit as important as the story itself. Cristin Harber, Jeffrey Kafer and now Heather Costs, WELL DONE! I can’t wait for “Aces” book 2 to come out!! Loved it!!!!

🌻A Heroine that won’t swear?🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Alright, having a Heroine that won’t swear, is one thing, but the substitute swear words were stupid. “Oh pumpkin seeds” seriously? I mean, does substituting a different phrase really do any good? All it’s accomplishing is irritating the listener, namely me!

Anyway, my only other real complaint is about the female narrator. She does not even do male voices, passably well. Therefore, I hope they either replace her, in the next book, or choose to do duet narration, where she would only perform feminine voices.

The story itself, was very similar to the other stories about the other teams; ie the Delta team and other related mercenary teams, related to this series. There are Cameos from some of the characters from the previous series. For example, “boss man “ Westin who recruits another soldier to build a new team, called Aces.

Of course, I’m looking forward to book two, in the Aces series. I love me some Alpha superhero!

This book actually kept me listening till the end!

Now, I have to say the story was a bit sad, but it had its ups and downs with the characters!

Unlike other reviewers,
I have never understood why they must re- tell you what happens in the book, in their reviews!?It ruins it for other readers!

Read the About this book section or description of book!
Retelling the story in a review is just ruining the story for others!!!I

Just my personal opinion.

I'm not wanting to insult any reviewers, but honestly it is baffling when I can read the description of what the book is about prior to reading the book.

I enjoyed the characters in this Story, especially Liam.
I know this is a story of fiction.

Grieving a loss, finding an unexpected love is part of life's journey.
I think the author brought the struggles of the main characters to life!

I noticed the others who read this said they didn't enjoy this book and I respect their opinions, but I did enjoy the story.
I had been floundering around with finding a book that would hold my attention and interest lately!

Narration was done very well.

Hope to see the other Ace Series Books in Audio- Audible Format Soon please.

Again, I was truly surprised how smoothly the book kept my interest.

Aloha

Wow, just wow!!!

Wow, I just loved this audiobook. The story of retired Army Capt. Liam Brosnan and US Marshal Chelsea Kilpatrick is one that will blow your away.
It’s a story about two individuals united by a loss that changed their lives. After a year of mourning one his fiancee and the other one her best friend, life get complicated. While a relationship blossoms, new evidence of the death of his former girlfriend, puts others in danger. In the meantime, the woman that Chelsea has been hunting for years, throws a curveball.
The plot at times heartbreaking, is filled with non-stop action, suspense, whodunit, and a romance that might not survive. The characters are complex , with a strong woman perfect for an imperfect man.
Can’t wait to see what else is in store in the next story.

Savior

Another hit by Cristin Harber! The Savior is the beginning of the beginning. Aces was the first team Boss Man put together and The Savior is the prologue.

A wonderful story that brings love lost and the new love together. Of course it wouldn’t be a Cristin Harber book if there wasn’t an evil villain who wants to take away that love.

Enjoy learning about Jared and Ian in the early days.
