This is a must have guide for anyone who feelings like have no control over their own thoughts. We all have intrusive and impulsive thoughts and sometimes it can feel like an overwhelming burden and we crave some peace and quiet. Great Book and a Must Read!
I truly enjoyed this book! I recommend it to anyone who finds themselves stuck in life and people like myself who don't assertively deal with their negative intrusive thoughts and what it costs us not to do so. This book shows you that if you can control your negative thoughts, you can change your life and achieve lifelong goals. Easier said then done for sure, but theres such a great payoff if you can master this. Most of us know this, but the author Gary Park shows you how to do it. I now know not mastering this has cost me in the past. Self criticism, past bad experiences, I thought I had put to bed, and I clearly see now that I havent. Holding onto relationshops I should have cut off years ago that take more than they give, the list goes on. Because of this book, Im now done with that. This book shows that not dealing with these issues and being unaware of the harm it causes is profound. Theres so much about this book I loved, and its not preachy at all. He shares his own struggle with intrusive thoughts and how he's learned to cope with them and put them to rest. A great and necessary read!
